I agree, it's like trying to name the best guitarist or the best singer. You can definitely get the top ten or so. But music is subjective. I simply never liked them, but respected Rush, because of Geddy Lee's voice. It worked for me in a couple songs, Like Working Man and 2112, but most of the time, imo, it was like nails on a chalk board. So everything else went out the window.

I love Geddy Lee's voice, it's so different and unique...outta the norm...his high pitched banshee voice goes great with their Dungeons and Dragons type songs, lol.

i love Geddy's voice as well. it is unique like Freddie Mercury. you cannot mistake his voice when you hear it. their songs all have story like quality thanks to Peart's writing skills and that is why they stand out. you can't find another band that has such great riffs like RUSH. also, if you listen to the drum solos Peart does on every tour/live album, you hear the talent there

I'm sorry Kids, but those guys may be the greatest in Rock and Roll history, BUT the Greatest drummer ever is Buddy Rich! Hands Down end discussion, he easily influenced most if not all those early rock drummers a true pioneer.....

Post something, just don't type. Rush, their drummer,guitar, vocals is nowhere near Led Zepplin. Kingdom Warrior is on it Buddy Rich is on top of the game also.

Buddy Rich was great, no one is disputing that, definitely influenced all these current rock drummers, but Peart easily could go toe to toe with Rich (and even surpassed him in many respects), if you deny that, then you are just hating, lol.
