The Pats had a great season but the Giants season was a little better. DEFENSE BABY!!!! The Giants defense shut them down. Very impressive to watch. I honestly thought the Pats would run away with it but so glad I was wrong. I know you're a big Giants fan through thick and thin so I'm happy to see your team win Paul!!!

I personally don't want to see either team go undefeated, so the dream scenario for me goes like this...

The Pats beat the Colts, possibly even humiliating them by running up the score... Colts suffer their first, and possibly only, loss of the season

The Pats continue to go undefeated until the last game of the season...

The Giants beat the Pats in that final game, with another stunning display of defense topped off with another sack filled game by Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and Michael Strahan. Little brother Eli saves the Manning name with a late game winning TD pass.

Peyton further redeems the Manning name by running up the score against the Pats in the AFC title game...

Only to lose to Eli and the Giants in the Superbowl.

OK, so my dream scenario didn't EXACTLY pan out, but this much MUCH sweeter...

I amy not be able to speak for a week from all the screaming I did, and if I had a heart condition, you would all be having a Memorial to Hulk thread from my heart attack, but there is nothing like watching my Big Blue Wrecking Crew walk out of Arizona with the Lombardi Trophy.

Patriots fans, you can take heart in knowing you lost to the best team in the NFL this season. Congratulations for winning more in a single season than the 1972 Dolphins. I am sure they thank you as well. Congratulations for being the only team to go 18-1 and NOT win the Superbowl. The 49ers and the Bears thank you. Being part of the biggest upset in NFL History. The Giants and I thank you. The 2nd best team in NFL history??? I think not. Besides the 4 teams I just mentioned, there are 38 other Lombardi Trophy winners that have rings to prove otherwise (heck, Brady even owns a couple of them). It don't mean diddly if you don't win the big dance.
