Where was the Whistle??? Or the Giants push off inside the Face Mask of a Pat...to make the catch...no call from the Reff's??

And finally...Manning got just plain lucky with that last "hail Mary" through at the end.
Yeah but you gotta admit that catch was 1 in a million, and we all tend to forget that Eli escaping that was just as hard an incredible

You didn't get the one that counted, Bro. On ESPN Last night they summed up the Patriots season in one word. "FAILURE" .... I dunno, I thought it was fantastic.

Please explain.... thx
After that congrats to the Giants and comisserations to the Pats...
For the most part,we don't refer to whomever wins the Super Bowl as "world champs". Most refer to them as Super Bowl champs. Same with the NBA and NHL. Only time a team is called world champs is when they win The World Series.

World Champions is probably just a carry over from the pre-Super Bowl days. They used to call it the World Championship (at a time when only the U.S. was playing the sport).

Right now, there is not a team in the CFL or any of the European teams that could beat either of the Super Bowl teams or any of the NFL teams for that matter. Most of the other leagues are similar to MLS in the U.S. They are made up mostly of players who aren't good enough to play in the NFL although there are some really good players who have come from the CFL and there are some players from Europe who have made it in the NFL just like there are a few players and I mean a very few players in the MLS who can hold their own playing soccer on one of the European teams.

Since I really had not emotional interest vested in the game, I saw the game through an objective lense and I saw bad calls or miscalls on both sides but nothing that I thought would have changed the outcome. It was a close game and could have easily have gone either way.

Actually, the NFL highlight of my weekend was Darrell Green and Art Monk getting voted into the Hall of Fame.

It is a good dvd and highlights the Dolphins entire season showing how they almost lost to the Minnesota Vikings I think and interesting enough, how the crushed the Patriots 54-0 and Shula was still complaining about the way they performed in that game. Larry Csonka was just incredible and they noted that he was the only running back who has ever been called for unnecessary roughness for running over a defender who was trying to tackle him. He didn't even do anything illegal....just put his shoulder down while he was carrying the ball and basically gave a defender a concussion.

Just caught the new Reebok ad that aired during Pardon The Interruption on ESPN. It's got the '72 Dolphins in it with Eli Manning. He hands them a package with a football in it with a note that says "enjoy it for one more year." The ad end with a sign that says "Perfectville population 1,est.1972." Funny stuff.

This is to The Bat: dude you seem like a great guy but you have to admit the pats have alot of calls in their favor . Lets not forget the finger poke in the chargers game,The hit out of bounds on Heinze Ward, the pushing down of the QB in the playoff game. Dude they have had many things go their way. What about the hold across the middle that cost the chargers a touchdown. Im sorry if this seems harsh but come on dude you seen them get away with all kinds of crap in the past. Im just asking ya to be fair about it. You know they face guard Rodney Harrison doesnt face guard? please man come on you know he does. I seen it many times. But in the end dont be mad at us for hateing them be mad at the Coach that brought shame on the organazation thats where the blame belongs to be honest. But at any rate your a good dude dont let it get to ya I still like ya even if ya are a Pats fan.
