Tough question. I watched hours and hours of cartoons in the early 80s - lots that were mentioned here, but my favorite cartoons were always reruns of older cartoons - Looney Tunes, Popeye, Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Flintstones and a lot of other Hanna-Barbera cartoons. I'd always choose these older cartoons to the ones that were usually on - but I still watched regrettable hours of Smurfs, Scooby and Scrappy Doo and much worse stuff than that.
I also never liked the adventure cartoons a lot of my friends liked, like GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man, G-Force ... I was always bored watching them for some reason. I always chose the funny ones over those types - or at least the ones trying to be funny.
These ones really stood out to me:
Danger Mouse
The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley (which I was a tad old for when it came out, truth be told)
The Herculoids (Which I liked the look of, more than anything)
Thundarr the Barbarian (same thing, loved the look of it)
Uhh - Does The Simpsons count?
I did watch a lot of "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" and "Superfriends", but they were never as good as I wanted them to be. I always watched "Inspector Gadget" too, but the way each episode was identical really irritated me.
Age probably has a lot to do with this list, by 1984 I was pretty much done with Saturday morning cartoons.
