I saw it this afternoon with my wife. I loved it and thought it was well done. And this was filmed about 45 minutes from my house. It was basically my back yard. I love where i live and love these mountains.Comment

For the most part I choose all the movies me and my girlfriend see. With that said she really wanted to see this movie. So we went and checked it out over the weekend. I gotta say, It was really good. Definately worth watching.

I went along assuming this would be utter crap, but I actually liked it. My wife hated the shaky-cam stuff but it didn't bother me. Heaps better than Twilight, the first one of which is the only one I've seen and are ever likely to see. Good comments above about it feeling a little like 70's sci-fi Logan's Run-esque early on, + 1 from me :-)Toltoys Kid Vintage Australian Toys and Ice CreamsComment

I saw it and loved it. I've read the books too. It strays in parts but not enough to make me care. The changes they made were largely for narrative reasons since the book is all through Katniss's pov.
I've heard other people say it was boring but I don't understand how. But then I fell asleep watching Inception and that seems to make my friends eyes bulge out...to each their own.

I have also heard complaints about the shaky-cam, but thought it was done to give it a bit of a reality feel and also be able to keep the more graphic scenes in a PG-13 rating.

Talk i have been hearing around here is everyone wondering if they are going to come back and film here again. I also heard Jennifer Lawrence said it was an hour hike in and out every day cause they went deep into the mountains. I need to start taking some pictures. This is the only place i have ever lived twice, and i have lived in quite a few states.Comment
