He was the greatest concept artist in Hollywood history. He deserves to become a Force Ghost.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

Wow that really sucks. I have The Art of Star Wars & The Art of Return of the Jedi, and his artwork in them is definitely my favorite. I also loved the fact that some of his designs got made into Star Wars figures. What a loss.

I'm sorry to hear about his passing. I have several books containing his contributions. I'm having a hard time fighting the urge to go thru my library and look again at his artwork (and others) contained there in. Sad to say on my part, that I always had easier time remembering the other name associated with Film design artwork (Ie Meade and Cobb).
Thanks for reminding me of this great artist!Comment

I had those portfolios when I was a kid. Frankly, I was a bit confused
by it all.
It took me many years to understand the link between McQuarrie's
paintings and the actual movies' designs, but once I did see that link,
I was quite impressed.
Indeed it was an early production lesson well-taught, if not exactly
well-learned.
Big part of my early fandom!
Bless! RIP!"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment
