I also mentioned my name a few times so people would realize who was in the shop. The crazy part was that I had brought much more rare stuff than the CS and Robin, but none of the other stuff apparently had any appeal to them lol. I was thrilled to be in the premiere with one of my favorite toy lines of all time. Glad people were noticing them
    Hey...that was you???

    Pretty good man!

Hey...do they really run that store themselves...or is it just a front for the show?

I dig your casings...I'm going to browse your store...

Thanks for the kind words my friend They do run the store. Kevin shows up ever once in a great while, as he owns it. Jay will be in the next episode. That dude is insane haha, but very cool. I am always trying to get the hobby out there; especially Megos.

For the take, I brought a piece of tooling from the Knickerbocker Spock head, but it was not used. I thought that would have made awesome T.V. I also had a Mystery Astro, Boxed RM Robin and a few other goodies I can imagine that they did not want me to steal the show hahahahaha! I guess its you tube now lol.

Zorro, you were the best part of the show. Hopefully, it isn't too late to recast the program to be just you with Kevin Smith.

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Man, those were tasty Mego specimans. They looked new on TV, so did SMDM.

            Thanks for the kind words

I think that there is not enought video attention out there on our favorite toys. After the episode aired, the feedback was awesome of the 5 minute sequence of the three figures. It is written in various blogs about the episode all over the net as the saving grace of the episode haha. I am very thankful that many people feel the same way as I. After the shoot, I told the producer who I feel needs to come into the shop. I think we can all agree on the man, myth and legend Mark Huckabone! I think if the episode is done correctly, it will drive this series in another direction.

            On a side note Chris:
Haha! I am looking to start a series of you tube videos about various Mego figures and other rare toys.

Watched the 1st episode last night on demand and I have to say that it made me laugh...and not in a good way. The 1st thing that I shook my head at was the idiot that said that the Kane Batman and Robin sketch was worth more than 10G's. That guy is completely clueless. If that is the case then my '75 Marvel Comic Con book is worth anywhere from $25 - 50 Grand:

And it's not. And the way that they were basically giving away the stuff from the store at that flea market was just a joke. Is that store a successful venture for Smith??!!?? When the guys you have working for you are like that...I'm surprised it's still in business. The only guy that I thought was smart in the bunch was Ming. The only person out of the people that went to the store that sold stuff that came close to getting a decent offer on his stuff was our own Zorro. They basically ripped off the guy that had the Thor Marvel Mania poster...then again I really couldn't tell how nice it was because it was wrapped in a plastic sleeve. This show basically shows the wrong side of comic book collectors and stores. I hope people that may venture their way to a store like Smith's don't think that what they saw in the show is what you are going to see all the time in comic book stores...cause if they do, this show may help shut down a few more Comic Stores.

So what did everyone think of episode two?

For me, it didn't improve, I had to fast forward the hockey game (that I saw in clerks already) and the BS with the Batmobile and Jay "just showing up" was like watching bad community theatre.

The only part i slightly enjoyed was the light sabre part because it was kind of neat. One guy brought in Crisis back issues, what store doesn't have those?

It's funny you mention the hockey game from Clerks. I am just waiting for an episode of Randall and Dante doing a shift.

That Jay dude (Jason Mewe) was trying too hard being witty and irreverent.

                        Didn't give the show a 2nd chance -
sounds like I made the right call.

Yeah, it fell flat for me and I'm a Jay and Silent Bob kind of guy. I am glad that he's finally (hopefully) drug-free. Strangely, with his dental work, he kinda looked like Jaws from Moonraker, minus the metal (which is a small price to pay, if he stays sober).
I was hoping this show would be similar to the Clerks Animated show, but its just too staged and a little (understatement of the year?) dull. Oh well...

P.s. The one bright moment of the show was zorro's awesome Mego's (okay, the SMDM was cool too).

I laughed my *** off when the guy who came in with his "Crisis" collection and asked for a hundred bucks, I sat there and said keep dreaming buddy, That's not happening.

The whole Batmobile thing was so staged......and honestly as nice as that car was, a REPRO car just didn't have enough geek for me.....I'd geek to be in a original series used car......
