Thanks for doing what you do.

Her death was untimely and a tremendous loss to the music industry. What a vocal range!

I can't add much other than this is very sad. Hopefully she will be remembered more for her great talent, and less for the later years and all of her problems. Like Tom said, her version of the national anthem is probably the best celebrity version of all time. That alone says A LOT.

The poor thing. She was only a year older than I am.

48 is too damned young to die, and that's the honest truth.

I can't even begin to imagine the kind of pain that her family is going through.

    Rest in Peace, Whitney.

One person's censorship is another person's reasonable moderation.

An incredible talent. One of the most gifted singers ever.
I thought she was getting things together the last couple of years.
A real shame. Far too young. Very sad. Addiction is a powerful thing.

"Greatest Love of All" -- at my Bar Mitzvah party, my five-year-old cousin got on stage and sang the ENTIRE SONG from memory with a live band playing behind her!!!! It was totally unplanned!!

Whitney was a part of my life and always will be.

An unspeakable tragedy. I can only hope she has found peace. A remarkable talent. I will never forget her singing the National Anthem at the Superbowl in 1993. It remains my favorite rendition to this day. RIP Whitney.

She had so much potential. It's so sad the drugs and bad decisions ended her life too soon.

A very talented lady with a voice to easily rival and surpass that of many of her contemporaries. It's a shame that gift is now silenced, but at least Ms. Houston is now resting eternally and adding her astounding voice to Heaven's chorus...

Yeah, I was thinking, hoping, it was just a rumor. Unfortunately it wasn't.
