As I had originally predicted, an honest mistake would be righted.
Glad to hear, just took a little longer than I expected.

I hate that you had to go through such an ordeal, but very relieved to hear it worked out in the end.

Well done T. You lucked out!
I've had some computer recording gear stolen from the USPS and never got reimbursed. All I got back was the label of the wrapping that was found at the USPS sorting facility in SoCal. They said they couldn't do anything about it when it was obvious someone broke into the box and ripped the label and left it.
Good to see you had a cathartic happy ending. Looking forward to some killer photos from that camera!

I am glad to hear that it worked out for you Theressa.

The USPS screwed me over big time a few years ago. Lost the entire top end to one of my motorcycles. 3 modified cylinders, pistons, and heads just went *poof* and disappeared. I should have insisted that my friend, who did the work, send them via UPS. He insured the package for $1500 which was way less then the actual value. All the "tracking info" (which is a joke with the PO) showed that he dropped it off at his local branch and that's where the trail ended. And this is a big and heavy package. I went through heck trying to get someone to even look for it. They didn't care. I even talked to people at the top in Washington DC and got no where. All I got was the insurance money. I told them I thought I was insuring against damage not against their own employees stealing my item. They don't care and lesson learned the hard way.

Other then International shipping I will never ship anything of value (over $200) through the USPS if I can avoid it.

Killer pics? Oh man, you know it!
This is a huge upgrade compared to my.....A60! Yep, you read that right.
That poor little thing has taken many pics! Its now starting to show pink in them.
Don't know if anyone noticed, my Brick duds show it in the flash in the background.
I did a lot of research on this G5 years ago. There's another story why I wanted a nice used one. I'm a dork, so I won't bore anyone with it.
Given my familiarity with that A60, I shouldn't have too much trouble with this one.
Many more functions too. Mmmmm, buttons!

Wow! A few horror stories with the po!
Sorry you guys went thru your trials and tribulations!
Is there really any safe way to ship? Shameful!

Edit- I'm having anything important to me come signature con.
Which means they are supposed to keep my items behind the counter.
Also having any packages not placed in lockers!

We went through it with you, of course not to the same degree though. So happy you got the camera. I would have told them to stuff the apology in a locker.

And I really appreciate all the ears!

Oh, I actually told them I was upset because they didn't believe me.

Glad this worked out for you- despite all the trouble. It is good to know that your po box neighbor was honest enough to return a package that wasn't hers- but geez- 3 boxes down?? You would think SOMEONE at the P.O could have done the least bit of looking in the area of your box.....I mean checking the obvious.....

I know my mailman by name and talk to him frequently- gave him a nice $$tip at Christmas and let him know how much I appreciate him- given all the boxes he has to shlep up my driveway to toss on the porch. I'd like to think it would help cut down any mis-delivery at my house.
