I just printed the delivery info on the con. number.
Am going to print out the auction too. Seller is going to check and see if he has the serial number, he doesn't think so but he's still going to look.

I remember have an issue with a delivery confirmation once about it showing delivered and the person getting it and my local PO said that even though they aren't supposed to sometimes the DC is scanned when it comes in and that would show as delivered. Then if they put it in the wrong box ( or delivered it to the wrong house ) it would show delivered and there isn't much they can do. I once had a package I was waiting for, through UPS, delivered to the wrong house in my town and fortunately the people that got it check the name in the phone book, called me and I was able to get it.

Best of luck in dealing with the folks as your post office, Theressa. I remember I ordered a calendar from overseas a few years back (a rather pricey one at that) and there were messages ALL OVER IT not to bend and the such, so what does my postman do? Bends the packages clean IN HALF. I took it into my local P.O. and they said it "wasn't their responsibility" to reimburse me for what they had damaged. I still don't have a lot of use for them, but what are ya gonna do...?

I hope I'm that lucky, sure don't feel it.
Being it was "delivered" Monday and now it's Wed., I think if someone else did get it and opened it up and seen what it was, I probably won't see it come back to me.
I really hope I'm wrong, really. There are honest people, but it's been 2 days...

Well, I noticed it arrived at 7:30 am, and only 2 1/2 hours later at 10am it was delivered already.
So either that person who mistakenly got the notice was up bright eyed and bushy tailed only 2 1/2 hours after it arrived to claim it, or they scanned it early as being delivered, which would suck as far as tracking down video for who picked it up.

It's upsetting when something like this happens to an expensive or rare item. Best of luck.

Not really strange there. My box is at the po and nearly all the del. con. tagged pieces are marked delivered when they put a slip or locker key in my box. When I see "delivered" on the site, that's when it's gets picked up.
This time I got neither slip, nor key, nor the item!

For this package, I didn't get the del con # from the seller until I asked for it.
I never expected a problem to occur. One hasn't until now.

In the room where your po box is, do they have a security camera? If so, is it possible for you to be allowed to watch, maybe a couple of hours during the time that your package was supposedly delivered? In any case, I've got my fingers crossed for ya.....

Since it sounds like they put the notice in the wrong box- you could make up some flyers explaining what happened and post them around the p.o.
