Oh yes...I actually HATE how happy the employees always look...never seen anything like it, lol.
The employees are also super friendly...like Whole Food employees are.
In N Out is by far the cleanest fast food joint anywhere.
The starting salary there is $10-$12 an hour (depending if you start as a cashier or cook)...and with health benefits, vacations, and even retirement packages...young people are dying to work there...but there's a long waiting list.
Assistant managers make around $50K a year...and full managers are paid in the $100,000 range.
Their kitchens are HUGE...and lots of employees...all fresh ingredients too...
Man...I now feel like applying for work there...

Their burgers are great, very fresh, non-greasy (but sometimes I like greasy, lol)...a pretty cheaply-priced...much cheaper than Five Guys for example.
However, I don't like their fries much...they are all natural (never frozen)...the peel them right there...but I don't find them flavorful enough...kinda boring-tasting...I much rather get me some Micky Dee fries...yum...

I also worked for TRU during a holiday break when I was in college. Worst place I ever worked. The managers were pretty nice, but it just seemed like nobody cared there which I guess is the case when you are being paid minimum wage. I remember there was a small lunch room where we would punch in and out. I was constantly being harassed by other employees who I didn't even know to borrow money that I knew I would never get back. I paid my own way through college so had no money to spare anyone."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

When it comes to walk in stores, I think Target tends to carry the things I'm most interested in. And they typically BEAT Walmart on price. Walmart is slowly becoming like Kmart. Crowded isles and dirty stores. The shopping experience is typically not something I enjoy. TRU is okay when they are actually stocking something I want. But I can usually go in and come out in ten minutes or less. They do not compete in pricing and let aging product sit on shelves FOREVER at the original price. The first line of Retro Action figures still hang on their pegs. Lex and Sinestro anyway. Four of each character. Still $19.99.
The places are becoming like zoo's.The parking spaces are at mininal most all the time, long lines, people in just about every aisle.
I go to Target and I do not have to drive around looking for a place to park, and I get in and out quickly, The stores are really clean, I get what I want, I don't have to stand in line hardly at all. I may pay a "little bit extra" for some things, but to tell you the truth it is totally worth it to me vs. the hassle at Wal-Mart.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. @thunderbolt I'm sad to hear about the Lake Wales one closing. It's the closest one to me.
Damien... I actually worked at the TRU on US1 (near Dadeland) right out of college while I was shopping my demo reel around to the various studios. I lasted 2 weeks, and then I just quit. It was the most depressing job I ever had... and the managers were out to get "the college girl."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
