Has a film ever embarrassed you in the theater?

I can raise my hand to that question. There were two occasions, when I was so embarrassed in the theater, I couldn't slump down low enough to crawl out.

The all time number one moment is this film...

I still blush thinking I witnessed it in public. The fact that I paid money for the moment...well...lets not pour salt on the wound shall we?

This is a VERY CLOSE second...

It took a good 15 minutes for my jaw to lock back in place. I looked around and everyone in the theater stared in disbelief. It literally felt like the movie was being pranked. The moans and laughter emitting from the crowd said the rest.

The Watchmen. Nothing like seeing a big, blue man-thing on the big screen.

I don't know about embarrassed, but one did disgust my wife and I so much that it was the only movie I ever walked out on in the middle of the show. The Butterfly Effect. When they got to the scenes dealing with child pornography, we both got up and walked out. I can deal with a lot of crap in movies, but that crossed a line.

I love "Rhinestone" because it's such an amazing Hollywood gone insane movie. It's mind boggling how bad Stallone's singing is. It's just unreal.

I only saw "Phantom Menace" and didn't bother with the others. I couldn't even make it all the way through that clip you posted.

The end scene of "Scrooged" with Bill Murray singing "Put a Little Love in your Heart" and breaking the 4th wall to try and get the audience to join in - that was painful to me like what you're talking about, I think.

Maybe works better in Spanish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNi7vYvK9mI

Any movies showing female nudity when going to the movies with female relatives is very embassing, especially when you're a teen-ish

It was 1980, and I had my mom take me to Can't Stop The Music, the Village People movie. Mom got a kick out of YMCA and I assured her it would be in the movie.

And this is how they played YMCA in this PG rated movie

                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd8MfwWH_ng

Guys in jock straps, quick cuts of guys towel slapping each other in the shower. If I was alone, I would just think it was funny, but I was with my mother. Then there was the quick look at Valerie Perrine's "co stars" which I would've enjoyed alone but not with my mother.

Village People started as a gay band, but soon came into a teenage following as well for their disco music and costumes. The film tried to play to the teenage crowd while giving a covert wink and a nod to their original audience. It kind of didn't work out

I was uncomfortable with Watchmen but not because of Manhattan...that stupid sex scene in the middle of the movie was just so out of place it really ruined the film. I was embarrassed when I went to see The Spirit because I actually paid for a ticket. To this day it remains the only movie I've ever actually got up and walked out on.

That scene with anakin and padme i rate as some of the worst acting and dialog ever in a movie. My ears still bleed a little bit each day.

As an English teacher that Romeo & Juliet movie is a godsend! After drudging through the text with the Freshman it finally clicks with them when they see it presented in a modern setting with actors they recognize instead of watching the very slow paced and antiquated Zeffirelli version. I will say that with the exception of Talkshow Host the mid 90's pop soundtrack is ghastly and almost derails the movie at times...

Back in the day I was a huge Grease fan --- That said, I thought Grease-2 was embarrassingly bad.
