I remember they always screened a show called "Read Along" at one of my old schools... it was an educational series that featured talking shoes.

As a kid we mounted a trip to the multiplex to see Where the Red Fern Grows. Weird that years later I would go on to study in Tahlequah, OK where it was filmed. One of my profs. had a part in the film.

In H.S. we got marched over to the library to watch To Kill a Mockingbird in 16 mm.

Flight of the Doves, Me and My Arrow,(?). Then in High School we were treated to Faces of Death. I suggested a class trip to my Art Teacher to see The 19th Animation Celebration,(1987). She never got to take the class on a field trip so she totally was into it and the class had a really good time. Free movie! Wooo-Hooo!

Did anyone get subjected to drug - scare movies?

In the 7th grade (1981) we saw one called Dead is Dead- it was brutal!!
