I don't blame the educational system.

I was really musing on what I have observed coming out of the college ranks these days.

Probably the most frustrating part is that many new graduates will not take my advice and think I'm crazy.

Well, I think it's all a jolly wheeze and many of those jolly old expressions have gone for a burton. Anyone who doesn't comprenday must be a bally old beer boy, i was using those whizzo slang terms before your number was dry back in dear old blighty. Now wipe the canteen medals off ya dickie and have a nice cup of char before you're chin strapped old boy.
Whizzo prang chaps and chocks away...

          My Boy Say's

"Thats How I Role, yo Gangsta Style"

          "Get outta my Grill,... yo"

"It's Street, yo ..I'm Talking Street"

I am looking into this Street Talk,.. currently to see where he got this from. It seems as if he has a new 1 with each passing week.. We do not watch anything on TV, nore do we as a family interact with these "Street Talkers". So Obviously it must be from School.

There is not much difference between "street slang" and what ever is hip to say. We all had hip stuff to say when we were teenagers. In the 80's, we had valley girl and preppy talk. The 60's & 70's gave us groovy and other weird words. Even the phrase "it's cool" or "that's cool" came from the 50's. Teenagers today have their own "new" words.

Now "street slang" is nothing other than Black America's own "preppy talk" and changes with time as well. Do you remember "Slide my some skin"?

I am sure the teenagers in England have their own forms of street talk or preppy talk.

I use "word to your mutha" a lot. Otherwise I'm pretty square.

Cockney rhyming slang is sweeping the schoolyards here. Now if you'll excuse I need to go across the frog and toad and get some jockey's whips.
