ManoWar "Hail to England"- I couldn't find it on Vinyl or Tape but couldn't resist owning it. I think I paid like $35 for it and didn't get to play until a couple of years later.

I've always thought that was a clever name for Big Black's first CD.

My first CD was Ozzy Osbourne's "The Ultimate Sin". When I first got a CD player, there wasn't much of a selection where I lived, but that disc wasn't a bad choice. I remember travelling up to Sam the Record Man in Toronto a month or two later and going nuts over the huge selection of CDs compared to stores in my area (which usually amounted to one or two skimpy racks).

That ain't late. '87 was early. I waited until '95. Still have the player. Still HATE cd's.

I also love how the record labels about DOUBLED the price of albums with the advent of CD's--yet anyone that knows the cost of manufacturing knows that CD's are way cheaper to manufacture than LP's. It was a royal screw job.......

I was a late comer to the CD age. I didn't get my first player until the Fall of 95 after I was out of college in my first apartment. The first CD I bought was Brooks & Dunn--Brand New Man.

Dark Side of the Moon. I didn't get a CD Player until the mid 90's, but when I did, that was a no brainer purchase.

                          Paul McCartney- Off The Ground.

It was the early 90s and I just bought a CD walk man for the first time and it hooked up to my stereo through an RCA input. I picked up Paul McCartney's new one at the time, "Off The Ground." It was my first CD purchase ever.
Looking back, it wasn't a bad CD. Good music on there!

I am ashamed to say it was Winger's "Heart of the Young".

I am not ashamed to say that I didn't like it even then.

I don't really know the other songs on that album...
but count me in as another that thinks the title track
is one of the best rock tracks ever recorded!

Definitely an album that is so rich with sound that a CD is a cool
                                way of listening to it.

I'm a big fan of that whole era of FLOYD---you know...
DSOTM, WYWH, MEDDLE, ANIMALS, THE WALL etc...
