Tell em Hec. Gun safety is no joke. My kids were taught to respect firearms early on and they are locked up tight. I have one that I can access in seconds if I have to, but nobody else would be able to get at it except me. I sleep better at night knowing that. Even though the crime rate in my area is nonexistent, I still feel better being prepared. You just never know.

          Thanks guys!

Some people fail to realize that just because we love guns...that we are somehow irresponsible gun jocks...that's far from the truth.

I always try to educate people on guns.

My dad was a gun enthusiast and a hunter...but he made sure I grew up respecting people...and taught me to handle and respect weapons as well.

The first thing he taught me was to never brandish a weapon at anyone...even if it was empty...never...if I ever did that...he was going to give me an epic arse whooping...lol.

Yeah...my neighborhood is pretty calm too...never remotely had a break in of any kind in my 19 years living there.

Although I own guns more for the the sport of target shooting than anything else...I go often...the one in Chabot park is awesome...it's outdoors in the woods...it's just a time to have fun...there's also an archery range nearby...I also do that...I own a compound bow...lol.

The next thing I want to do is get a shotgun for skeet shooting (clay target shooting)...the only bad part about that...is that the nearest skeet shooting facility/range is about an hour and a half drive from me...but wouldn't mind doing that at least once a month...
