I am all set at home. hoping that it is not nearly as bad as they are predicting. i have been bringing all the patio and pool furniture into the garage, cleared the drains across my driveway and am stocking up on water in case we lose power. power outages are the only real drawback to having well water as far as I am concerned.
hang in there everyone and be smart.

Maybe I'm naiive but not even worried about it. I'm in Western Maryland and according to what I know, we are supposed to get some heavy rain along with 40-50 mile winds. I made sure to clean out my stair well so my sump pump was ready, turned over my patio furniture and just figured I will deal with whatever comes. I know everyone goes running for milk, eggs, and bread but I heard that the best food item that has a long shelf life and humans can basically live off of without anything else is peanut butter. I guess it has the proteins, oils, vitamins, etc. that is the best food source of anything you can find in a grocercy store. If and when the day comes; I am going to buy Costco sized jars of JIF Creamy Peanut Butter for my Armagedden stock pile. I love it and really don't think I would get sick of eating it.

Ron, head over to Berto's House and bring your Mego's, they'll be safe there.

I'm in the armpit of Jersey...My house is pretty elevated compared to most folks around me...not really worried about water as much as these 100 year old trees surrounding my house.

Stay Safe Folks...See you on the other side of this thing

Same here - just worried about the trees.

Good luck and be safe everybody. Shawn just left me a message that the subways in NYC are shutting down.

Even if it heads out to sea we won't escape it. It's as big as the whole east coast and its tail goes out as far as Nova Scotia. Were going to get rain and wind no matter what. Just don't park your cars under any big trees.

Google has a pretty good storm tracker. Just look at the size of this thing:
