Quiet Riot's singer's death was an overdose!!!

I had held out hope is was natural.

Coroner's Report: DuBrow's Death From Cocaine Intoxication

LAS VEGAS -- His bandmates may have thought he had kicked the habit, but according to the Clark County coroner, Quiet Riot lead singer Kevin DuBrow died of a cocaine overdose.

Samantha Charles, spokeswoman for the coroner's office, said after toxicology results were received Monday, "The cause is cocaine intoxication."

Investigators called to DuBrow's home the night he died said there was no forced entry and no suspicious circumstances.

Quiet Riot was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize." The song, featuring DuBrow's powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band's album "Metal Health" -- which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

DuBrow recorded a solo album in 2004, "In for the Kill," and the band's last studio CD, "Rehab," came out in October 2006.

    He was 52.

Unfortunately, I thought the same thing...that it was either an overdose or the result of living a hard life.

        Nevertheless, it is still sad.

I know you meant well wrath, but, boy, with all respect, posting this thread here is a
bad idea if you're looking to honor the man's passing ..(the first was misplaced enough)

Not really surprised, I figured it might be suicide due to depression from how well his rock star career was going.

Or maybe he was just "over-celebrating" over thirty years
in the business---and 24 of those years never having to be forced to work
another job outside of rock & roll---ya just never know
