I subbed a class yesterday and taught my regular lunch hour class today. Feeling pretty tired after a week of physical activity. Tomorrow will definitely be a rest day.

I'm going to have to start thinking about how I eat and how I fuel my body for the long haul in order to maintain a challenging fitness regimen over the next few months. I'm planning on ramping up in the next month with spring here... with an intention to find a peak in performance around August/September before going into maintenance for the following winter.

Yow - that's impressive. I like that the race promotes cardio/fitness with upper body.

Hate to burst a bubble in this thread but I'm ripped to shreds and healthy as a horse. Girls, toys and cartoons did this to me.

On a serious note, if anyone needs fitness advice or help PM me. I also work for Megos.

Brue, I've told you this before, but it always makes me laugh that you're a runner and wear a Flash costume. We've got the starts of our own Justice League. You and Sandy(for kicking some guy's butt for messing with his dive gear, while wearing an Aquaman shirt) are the founding members.

Hey, I'm glad you are in super shape and all, but like Brue said, you had already posted that semi-nude picture before, and I'm not hating or anything, but it's safe to say that most of us here don't wanna see that kinda provocative picture (again)...it just shows way too much...at least pull up your pants a bit further up, man.

That picture would be more suitable in the pages of Playgirl magazine, not on this toy forum.

Having said that...I'm sure some of the ladies...and perhaps a guy or two...like seeing that semi-nude picture of you...but most of us dudes in here do not...and no...it's not hate...I'm not gonna lie...I prefer having your body than mine...lol...but straight dudes don't like seeing semi-nude dudes in that light...it's just the way it is.

Perhaps in a muscle magazine or something....or even a vacation photo from the beach...but not a bathroom shot...lol.

Instead of showing pictures of your great shape...why don't you tell us your dietary and exercise routine?

A picture will not encourage much...but advice will.

Like what you eat in the morning?

                  Other hours?

                  What is your activity like?

                  And so on...

Many would appreciate that...and no...don't charge us Megos...this is the Mego community...we routinely help each other here without asking for any type of payment.

                  That would be cool.

                  Thanks!

P.S. Yes...you are in above great shape...no hate here...just uneasy seeing bathroom man shots...that's all...lol.

I have no problems with Brue's picture...I can tell he's in great shape too...but he's in a superhero costume...perfectly appropriate for a toy forum.

Now...if Mego Superboy Prime were in a Superman costume...then that would be cool.

Yesterday was a rest day, although I did spend a great deal of time the past two days walking around the Wizard World con.

Ate some tasty tasty New York Fries and a burger today, washed it down with two pops. My weekend indulgence (since I didn't have Fat ******* Burrito and a deep fried Mars Bar earlier this week). Got on the bike for two hours tonight. I started to feel muscle fatigue towards the last twenty minutes... going to give some thought to fuel, particular when I'm taking it outside soon. A gel or a few pieces of cliff bar should do the trick for now. Forgot my gym clothes again so I was in my slacks and golf shirt.

In all seriousness, a fresco-style bean burrito from the Bell is my best energy snack. Lots of complex carbs & fiber, not much fat. The only problem is that it's heavy & spicy, but I can plan around that. When I'm in shape and eat one of those 3-4 hours before a hockey game, I feel like I can skate all night.

Thanks Brue. In the summer months, there is an eighty year old guy named Len out on the lakeshore just about every single day zooming up and down the path in his dress slacks and button shirt with collar, so I take my cue from him.

Today was supposed to be weights, but I got called in to sub a class out in a trendy part of the city (Liberty Village). With a couple of hours to fuel up, I walked to the juice bar and got myself a double shot of wheatgrass along with my smoothie. I have to admit that the energy drinks they sell at the gym are pretty tempting when I first get in there and know I have to be "on" for the participants in my class. I didn't have to worry though, the room was packed and nothing energizes you like a room full of enthusiastic people who want to work off the day's stresses. The after-work crowd there is very different than the laid back daytime/lunch hour folks at my uptown home-club. Good change of scenery for sure.

I agree wholeheartedly that Burritos can be a good choice if you pick the right one. Stopped by Moe's across the street, and opted for a grilled chicken on whole wheat, black beans and all the veggies. Went light on the sour cream, but heavy on the salsa and gaucamoli(sp?). At least the gauc is full of the "good" fats.

With Burrito places popping up on every corner of the city, it's often too easy to get the fried battered haddock and shrimp, and I do love me my sour cream normally. Fat ******* Burrito also loads theirs up with choice of deep fried chicken and fried noodles... so that is my once a week treat to myself on Wednesdays.

I did well yesterday in anticipation of eating a Jumbo Burrito filled with fried noodles and chicken, washed down with a deep fried mars bar today. Chose a gyros with whole wheat pita and veggies off the "Healthy" menu of the Falafal place, although Gyros is kind of a "mystery meat" of perhaps lamb and beef together. Also did a turkey sub on oat with all the veggies, no mayo dressing.

I did light weights yesterday, and taught my class this morning. See how I'm feeling tomorrow and see how much I want to push myself.

Good job guys and gals. Only thing I'll add is becoming a vegetarian 6 mos ago has been one of the healthiest decisions I have ever made. I feel full after each meal, absolutely love the recipes I am discovering and nearing 46 yrs old feel better than ever. And yes, there is a TON of ample/healthy protein in a vegetarian diet.
