Diet soda contains 3 poisons-1. Aspartame (causes cancer,Alzheimer's,and internal and thyroid problems)

2.Phosphoric Acid (leeches Calcium from your bones, destroys the enamel from your teeth and cause cavities)

3.Phenylalanine- another poison equivalent to Aspartame

not sure about you,but I dont drink poison

Show me the study that says this and please don't post some link to some unsubstantiated website. Show me the scientific study that suggests the claims you are making.....

          Soda...except sometimes in the summer.

Folks, never discount the healing power of a burger and a shake. Let me recommend that this summer, on a mildly warm day, when you have nothing better to do for lunch get a Burger and a Shake, (and fries). If you haven't had fast food in a long time make 1 exception. Don't overdo it on the burger and you'll be fine. I had a Quarter Pounder, (no cheese-but that's just me), and a Chocolate Milkshake in the summertime on a lunch-break and it was great. I sat outside, enjoyed the warm weather and it just all seemed to come together for that short time.

Now as for soda being bad for you-well yes, that's correct! It is bad for your teeth like all sugary foods & drinks and Mythbusters demonstrated how Coke polishes chrome bumpers better than real polish. Coffee is bad for you and so is alcohol, red meat and raw fish. However, no one is trying to say replace breathing with soda! All things in moderation. And ScottA, so sorry I couldn't just answer soda or shake.

You just provided me with a link exactly like I knew you would--it's filled with loads of anecdotal evidence linking aspartame not only with cancer but with about every illness under the sun!

Show me a specific study from a reputable research organization--one that does not rely on anecdotal evidence--suggesting that normal use of aspartame causes cancer in human beings. Surely there must be one.

I'm not a stooge for Big Food Inc. or anything--in fact I rarely ingest foods with aspartame. In fact I am suspicious of it as a food additive myself. But I've always felt that the folks that say things like "Diet Coke causes cancer" need to back up such bold claims with specific and scientific evidence. I'd love to be made a believer!

Soda. On work days, I usually hit a drive-through and eat lunch in my car with the radio & newspaper. I can keep a 12-pack of whatever on hand and save about $1 per day.

Exceptions: When it's hot, a fountain Coke from McD's can't be beat. Also, I'll occasionally get a Frosty from Wendy's.

I am glad your aware....but I gave you one link...I dont have the time to do the research for everyone. As I said,There are thousands of links to studies on this artificial chemical poison...personally,I try to get people aware of this as much as I can,so they can get away from this addictive poison that indeed causes Health problems...anything chemical will always cause problems, because its man-made and its not Natural to consume.Even regular Soda will eventually kill you (high fructose corn syrup which cause heart disease) processed foods eventually kill

Confession: I've recently bought the sugar sweetened Heritage Dr. Pepper at Target, and I'm ashamed because I've found that I prefer it sweetened with corn syrup.

I'm the same with "Throwback" Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Cane sugar has been out of the norm so long it seems strange to taste it.

                                Thank you.

Either answer the thread's question...soda or shake...or move one.

BTW...my answer is soda...I don't like shakes with food.
