Hawaii is not part of a BCS Conference, and they do play a major roll in picking their schedule. A few years ago, Tulane went 12-0 and finished somewhere around #7. This is the same scenario, Hawaii should have picked a couple major powerhouses (ie USC, Org, etc), and I could see it if they were still undefeated.

    Coaches Poll is out:
    1. LSU (35) 9-1 1,457 2

These things have a way of resolving themselves, somewhat.

Boise State went through the same criticism last year and they got their chance to make a statement (Even though they beat my Sooners, I have to admit that was an awesome game and they came to play. However, beating last year's Sooner was a lot easier than it would have been to beat last year's Gators.). In retrospect, some people have come around to the possibility that Boise State had a legitimate argument that they deserved a shot at a National Title despite being from a non-BCS conference.

If Hawaii wins out they will have a similar chance to earn some respect for going undefeated despite a soft-schedule and you know they have to be considering the possibility after what BSU accomplished. "Hindsight's 20/20", but it could make the road a little easier for Hawaii...provided they win out.

Can KU really beat UO in the Big XII CG? I don't follow Big 12 very much, just the polls, so I am just wondering.

I wouldn't consider it a "give me". I've seen a lot of chinks in the Sooner's armor this year. We really struggled with Iowa State (who seems to have found some momentum) and I have yet to see a convincing game from the Sooners.

KU beat Colorado in Boulder and we lost there. They beat Baylor worse than we did last night. They struggled with Texas A&M in College Station and we beat A&M pretty convincingly in Norman. Kind of 50-50 when you look at common opponents.

I don't know if it is a given that Oklahoma and Kansas will face off. We still have Texas Tech in Lubbock and we lost there last time and Oklahoma State comes ready to play almost every year. Similarly, I think Kansas will have a hard time with Mizzou. Mizzou is a pretty tight team with a pesky QB.

I would almost rather face Kansas than have to beat Mizzou twice in the same year. Pretty hard to do.

If we do make it to the Championship and face Kansas, Mangino was our Offensive Coordinator before moving on to Kansas and he has some insight on how to beat Oklahoma. He may be grossly overweight, but the man can coach.

I don't follow the Big 12 either but after watching them last night they seem to have a lot of confidence. The way this year has been I'd say most anything can happen. Who knows maybe it'll be my Vols meeting your Tigers in Dec.

Well, as disappointed as I have been with my Maryland Terrapins this year, it was nice to see them finally beat Boston College. They have now beat two top 25 ranked teams but can't seem to beat the teams they should.

I'm just hoping for a bowl bid at this point....it doesn't matter against who.

I love the Buckeyes and attend Ohio State, and I'm bummed they lost. But, I think any realistic Buckeye fan knew before Saturday that we were not the best team in the country, and I did not expect them to win the National Championship (of course I didn't think they would lose at home to Illinois) but I thought they would either lose to Michigan or to LSU in the title game. Good news for buckeye fans is that, barring any premature jumps to the NFL, we return basically the exact same line up next year, and then we will have a shot at a title for sure.
