Sorry to hear the damage was so extensive Sandy..... I did not mean to be insensitive to your situation; I had no idea of its severity!
Members here who know me, know that is not my style…… Sorry bro!Comment

Oops...didn't know it was that bad...I concentrated in just the tile...overflowed pool...not realizing the water destroying your living room...oh man...that really sucks...sorry for not paying enough attention reading the specifics, Sandy.sigpicComment

Worst part is, my dad is in Seattle and he has NO idea this has even happened yet. He's gonna have a stroke... The floors alone, back in 1995, when we bought the house, cost almost 30k to put in. This is a TOTAL fracking nightmare... I have no clue what to do regarding telling him. The general says I should, but I don't wanna ruin his Christmas. I get to to Seattle on Thursday and it's STILL raining!!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

I guess no one but you would be able to asses how your Dad deals with stressful situations, but I think the more time he has to deal with it mentally will (I hope) soften the blow when he actually sees the damage.
Allow a little calm down time, you know....Comment

I wish I could say I have no idea what you're going through, but I do. A few years ago I had a city tree grow a root into my drain pipe and backup my entire cellar. It was completely finished, 5 rooms and my laundry room. Over a foot of water. I ended up with black mold and $55,000 later they had stripped the entire thing back to the foundation and rebuilt it all. A year later my insurance company revoked my policy saying I was a bad risk. This was my first claim in almost 20 years of paying house insurance. The only company that would give me a policy would only do it at over double my previous cost. I went a year and then got back to my old rate with another company, but what a nightmare. I did get a brand new cellar for the aggravation, and in hindsight it was well worth it for when I sell, but it sure didn't feel like it when I was going through it. Best of Luck Sandy, hope it all works out for ya.It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment
