Is it just me or does anyone else feel like when Ted McGinley gets on a show, it's doomed? Except for Revenge of the Nerds, he always seems to show up late to the party.

I always felt like Happy Days worked best when the star was Richie and the storyline was mainly about whatever he, Ralph and Postie were up to. I loved Fonzie, but I liked him best before he was so central to the plots of the episodes. To me, I really liked the idea of Richie having Fonzie as a kind of hooligan guardian angel who wasn't part of his group of friends, but who looked out for him. I guess it Fonzie was cooler to me then.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

True dat! I don't like the version though where they frame it with a story told to Chachi.....

Oh, my GAWWD, YES.. He's one of the BEST character actors around..!! I didn't watch the show much after the Diner caught fire, but I was pleased they didn't 'over-use' him before then..

Just a couple times a year was perfect..!!

I was really happy to see "Officer Kirk" grilling Captain Kirk on Star Trek as a kid.

I still have a real fondness for the early season, particularly the first. It's fun to watch the cheesier episodes as well.

A lot of the Family channel sitcoms my kids watch remind me of those campy happy days shows, I honestly think it was a prototype of sorts.

We can't have a Happy Days thread without including Buddy Holly (Weezer)

I loved that video. As popular as Happy Days was, it does seem to be forgotten from time to time. This video revived interest in it. Hopefully the Hub reruns will as well.

As long as Hollywood doesn't try for a movie remake...ugh.

For memory in pop culture's sake, I'd say a movie remake could only help
                              an oldie sitcom.
