      ????

My post never claimed one would be judging (in this case) Young
by a particular lyric... just a "particular song" or "group of songs".

The typical "non-Neil" casual radio listener had maybe heard 10-20 Young
tracks (or CS&N or BS tracks) their whole life--- when the reality is that
Neil has released probably about 800 different tracks throughout his career,
many with different vocal approaches and with different bands.

That was the point I was trying to make.

I have to agree hands down - Listening to Yoko sing is like listening to a cow give birth.

I think the average cow would be offended by the comparison.

When Yoko sings, there is nothing in this world as terrible as her voice....except for a very few.

The only person IN THE WORLD who thought Yoko could sing was John Lennon.

Which proves Lennon was far from flawless

Lennon was the voice of ROCK and ROLL!!
Axel Rose was awful..Getty Lee is a great bass player but his singing sucks..
By far the worst singer to ever sing a song was Kris Kristofferson.

Air Supply, cannot stand any of their songs.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

You reminded me of when I saw them on an (Time Life?) infomercial for some music collection and they tried to sing one of their old songs. Needless to say the singer can't hit the high notes anymore and it sounded really bad.

Man, it blows me away that anybody hates Axl Roses voice that like rock n roll, It was that voice that made the band the best thing in decades. Of course Slash was huge. But it was Axl, he was the man.

One of the reasons I was never big on metal was because many metal bands had lead singers with effeminate voices.

I agree Zemo!!! GNR helped return good old hard rock to the scene. Appetite is one of the all time great albums. But I also understand the "different strokes" theory of music. I have a very eclectic collection of almost 1000 cds. Everything from hard core death metal (many bands most have never heard of) to Carley Simon and Bread. How sick is that?

I love music, played the piano, clarinet, guitar, and drums. None very well but I still enjoy it. My Mom is a music major. I sang in the church choir and had a garage band back in the day. I am actually not bad at mimicking voices and can do a few rather well. The only music I don't like is Country but I would never say that Country is no good just because I don't care for it. I respect anyone who loves music.

I understand why some don't like Geddy's singing but Rush is one of my top three, along with Zep and Floyd, favorite bands ever! All 3 members are fine musicians and a joy to listen to. I bought 2112 as one of my first half dozen records when I was young and it still remains one of my favorites ever! A very under appreciated band in my opinion.

I also have a soft spot for female singers. I adore Stevie Nicks, Sade, Gloria Estephan, Carley Simon, Venessa Carlton, Enigma, Otep, Joan Jett, etc.

                            Yes, I am very weird!

                              Now that cat cannot sing.
