    Too old for Heavy Metal?

    Hey all.
Someone told me today that I was too old for Heavy metal music.?!
    Hey!
Heavy metal is part of MY generation!
Am I supposed to not like it anymore as I grow white hairs on my beard?
    I dont know.
Usually, comments like that would not have bothered me.
I must be going thru a mid-life crisis thingy.
Any ways,I still loves me some Motorhead!!

Sounds like someone has an askewed view of perceiving the present with the actual future, which is now.
What I mean is that so the folks that grew up with rock music from the 50's, 60's and 70's aren't listening to that music now in their old age?
Well, I've met some of my elders(I'm 40) who still rock to Hendrix, The Doors, The Sonics, The Stones, 13th Floor Elevators. I know when I'm old I'll still be rocking out to the tunes that formed my penchant for music, including HEAVY METAL.

Take it in stride, my man. You are young as you feel. Bang that head, bro!!

Whoever said it JP, is simply an idiot. While my tastes have grown and incorporated a ton of genres now that I didn't much care for when I was younger, nothing gets me completely riled up and ready to to fight, party or **** ( I self-censored that last one by the way )
like anything from Metallica's Master of Puppets album. Tell 'em to **** off and punch 'em in the throat...

or hit 'em with your cane.

            Today I did.
May have had something to do with hearing Pearl Jam on the electric lunch-hour the other day.

It could be. I think that was part of my problem the past few months.

                    Good times.
You lived in that time. Keep it in the heart so no one will ever take it away.

My mom who is 67 listens to the stuff. Her younger brother who is 10 years older than me,is how she started to listen to it because he did. So when I got into heavy metal,it really didn't bother her as much. My dad is a different story.

I am turning 40 next year and it seems like the older I get the more I like heavy metal, death metal etc. So you are never too old to headbang.
