Speaking of ballsy.., just who else in the mid70s would take his wife on the road with him..??

Macca was going to do it 'his way', and that's it.. Screw the critics. He got a lot of that from Linda.
    Okay.

    I'm pretty well-versed in "Beatle-wife" stuff...and, knew a good portion
    of what you posted.

Since you "did" post that stuff...I'll say that I wasn't too impressed with her
better qualities, but it appears that you...and (more poignantly) Paul WERE,
and they had a good (if shortened) life together, so, all's well that ends well, I guess.

My all time favorite McCartney solo song would be the unreleased version of Beautiful Day.

I know that Linda got dissed quite a bit and she wasn't the most talented singer (trying to be nice here) but I always liked her and had respect for her. She didn't come across as an idiot like some Rock Star wives do. And I still feel sorry for Paul that he lost her way too soon. As mentioned here, she was his rock. From a fans point of view they seemed very happy together and perfect for each other.

As far as Linda's looks go here is my take on that. I am sure most guys would not think my wife is very attractive. But I adore her. She is also my best friend and we spend almost every minute together when we are not working. I don't care what others think as I am the one who has to love her, not anyone else. I always thought the same about Paul and Linda. They just seemed to be made for each other. Yes Paul could have had some very beautiful women if he wished to but I respect that he wanted more then eye candy.

as I recall, some of the later Wings albums were listed as Paul McCartney & Wings.

I also liked his recent album by the Firemen - Electric Arguments. Has some heavier material than he usually records anymore. Some good tracks that sounded really good live last year when he played Citi Field

and I still think Linda was an attractive woman.
