What's your favorite Paul McCartney solo song ?

What's your favorite Paul McCartney solo song ?
    (note: Wings counts)

For me it would have to be Uncle Albert;Admiral Halsey

I think "Uncle Albert" is any solo Beatles most Beatlesque song.

What's your fav McCartney SOLO song ?

I'm kind of a "Poseur" in this respect...I rave about how great he is... but barely know his solo stuff.

I guess as far as hits go...SILLY LOVE SONGS.... for boldness in the lyric alone or COMING UP.

More obscure'd be TEMPORARY SECRETARY...actually I have to say LOTS
of stuff on the "II" album with it's lo-fi sound and catchy songs
would be faves of mine as far as Paul solo.

That's a tough call. I really like "Somebody Who Cares" off of the Tug of War album, but if I had to pick just one it would probably be "Maybe I'm Amazed" even thought it's a bit overplayed. I wouldn't say either is my favorite, but I also really like "Here Today" and "The Pound is Sinking" from Tug of War too.

For a just plain good and catchie toe-tapping song I would choose Junior's Farm

By the way, that's a great song too. I love the section with the rain in the background. But as cool as some of the experimental sections are, they kind of take away from the song a bit for me. I don't know if it's the most Beatlesque post-Beatles song, but I do think it's the song most like what The Beatles were doing during the last few years.

                  That's true.
For a "Beatlesque" sound, Ringo might have them all beat with songs like I Am the Greatest or It Don't Come Easy

"Let'em In" Remember when that was highly rotated on the airwaves back in '76. The Bicentennial was in the air, did a lot of road trips with family and had a Mego Thor in my hand as well a Lizard while going to Knott's Berry Farm or Disneyland. Also remember walking down Hollywood Blvd at night after going to see a movie at the Egyptian or Mann's Chinese with the family and hearing this tune coming from various artisan shops and record stores like Peaches.
Yeah, one great song for me.

"I Am The Greatest" may win for best mid-carrier Beatles (Rubber Soul / Revolver). If it weren't for the gospel-style backing vocals and horns, I think "It Don't Come Easy" may win for best early carrier Beatles. I would probably like a live, 4-piece version of that one (without all of the horns and backing vocals) better than the studio version.

                            "Jet" - no question.

Just a perfect pop song in every way - AND it's about a dog, and I love dogs.

My vote goes to Live and Let Die.

Now here's a better question... which Paul McCartney song do you outright hate?

Me? If I have to hear 'Wonderful Christmastime" ONE MORE TIME, people might get hurt.
