I think Superman would have been an awesome character to be the single most important fictional character to me, but honestly, he really wasn't. I can totally see how he would be an important influence to a lot of people, but as a kid I just never understood how cool it was that this all-powerful dude was trying his hardest to do what was best for others rather than be greedy.
I had considered saying that Gene Simmons was the single most important fictional character to me. Yes, I realize that there is a person playing the role of 'The Demon,' but I think it's still more of a character than a real person. It's simply the case of the actor no longer realizing that he's playing a role.
Maybe Charlie Brown would have been the biggest influence because he always tried to kick that football even though he knew it wouldn't work out for him in the end.
