Violence at San Diego Comicon

This is completely nuts

I can see how nuts it gets with so many people wanting to get into panels with so much limited sesating.

If this happens every year (the queing, not the stabbing) I have to wonder why the organisation doesn't have these panels in a bigger hall.

Interesting that a fight broke out over that. When I went, people were encouraged to sit through multiple panels in order to ensure they saw the one they wanted. We were waiting outside a hall for the Ray Bradbury/Ray Harryhausen panel, but didn't want to sit through the "Supernatural" one, and security made us go in, stating that we wouldn't be allowed to sit outside. We begrudgingly went in, couldn't find seats together, and my husband got annoyed and went back out the way he came in. The guards yelled at him for going out via the "in" door, and he stormed off. They tried to keep me from following him, then let me go. So that's our Comicon Incident Story. Tempers tend to flare over what would be a minor incident when you're dealing with crowds like that, especially in the middle of summer.

The Sanitation Workers on my job are a prime example of high school guys.

I just hope that NY Comic-Con in October isn't like the one in San Diego.

Yeah, That would completey and totally suck if that happened. Lets hope not anyway. IF he does he should not have to worry about having a toy budget for a long time. A very lousy way to get it though.

If you're going to stab somebody with a pen always do it in the behind.

Advantages are ... the person don't get badly hurt .... and you can always claim it was an accident.
