I can't believe that they are re-making the Rockford Files. Jim Rockford got away with so much stuff because it was an era before GPS, Cell Phones, Internet, desktop publishing, etc. Outside of the fact that I cannot see any one but James Garner in the role (can't really use that argument anymore with the success of Star Trek), I can't see the stories even remotely having the same "flavor."

they already remade the rockford files it was called Magnum PI

but thanks to reality tv how much love could their be in a PI show today. most of them are viewed as photo lense cheater chasers

Man, was I ever wrong about the La Femme Nikita TV re-boot by the CW. It's actually really well done. It has potential...there's also a possible way that they could bring in some of the originals from the Cable series from a few years back. There's a scene in the first episode that Berkov and Nikita are talking about when she was in division/section and Nikita says to Berkov "That's not my name..." So it looks like they could do something with that little door opening in the script.

One side note that has nothing to do with the series...but more to do with the CW...Could you put more DAMN!!! pop ups during the show??!!?? cause there aren't enough of them. My God, you can't get a clean copy of anything that the CW does.

PS. Randolph Mantooth (John Gage on Emergency) was shopping around an Urban Search And Rescue action/drama a few years ago based on the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. (same Dept as in Emergency) USAR-1....with their full cooperation. Unfortunately, none of the networks showed enough interest.

If Randy and LA Co were to back it I'd watch because I know he still cares about the show and its fans.

For those who did not know LA county Fire museum finally re took possession of the ward lafrance Engine 51 from Yosemite national park and restoration is underway.

Then I gave up.

See now...I couldn't make it through the original series....it was just to "Out There" for me when I was younger...might actually make sense now

Funny thing is I love the show Nowhere Man and a lot of people I know say that if I love that show then you'd probably love The Prisoner. Might have to track down some VHS's of the series.

I'd love to visit the LA county Fire Museum. If I get out there, visiting would be a must. They're fully equipping Squad 51 and Enigine 51 (Ward LaFrance).
