>GREATEST AMERICAN HERO'll have a heck of a time getting a feature
Didn't they already try for a sequel series?
>"The New Adam-12" ran for two seasons, beginning in '90
NNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
>Marketing is the key factor - not creativity.
....which is why the audience is DEFINITELY to blame for part of every bad remake.

Yes they did....There was a pilot in the late 80s for a new "Greatest American Heroine" series with Ralph passing the torch to a young girl mentored by Bill Maxwell. The pilot didn't sell so they re-edited it and used it as the final episode for the original series' syndication package.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

due to the context time-period wise...it might as well be the same show.
As far as the GAH movie goes....as mentioned earlier...it's been talked
about....for YEARS....as ANY popular show would be talked about...
Anyways, who knows if they make a GAH feature... they may just have to
change the whole "aliens make an Earthling a superhero" bit due to
the GL connection, is what I was saying earlier."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. There are only a handful of the regular GAH shows
that have stood the test of time with me...
so I'm thinking odds are that HEROINE is not gonna be
that entertaining for me...
ONE of these days I'm sure I'll stumble across it."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I never want to see a reimagined Emergency not only would they become action driven drivel instead of character driven stories with a resuce or fire as the highlight, they'd have to tweak the characters problaby to give some romantic over tones whether a love triangle with a 3rd party or a coupleing between the Gage and DeSoto analogs (who would probably be a mixed sex and mixed race pairing for PC reasons - see BSG)

PS. Randolph Mantooth (John Gage on Emergency) was shopping around an Urban Search And Rescue action/drama a few years ago based on the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. (same Dept as in Emergency) USAR-1....with their full cooperation. Unfortunately, none of the networks showed enough interest.Last edited by EmergencyIan; Jul 21, '10, 4:42 PM.Rampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?Comment

I can't believe that they are re-making the Rockford Files. Jim Rockford got away with so much stuff because it was an era before GPS, Cell Phones, Internet, desktop publishing, etc. Outside of the fact that I cannot see any one but James Garner in the role (can't really use that argument anymore with the success of Star Trek), I can't see the stories even remotely having the same "flavor."It's all good!Comment
