I wasn't allowed to hang out in arcades...

That being said, we went on a trip to Disney World and stayed at a Disney resort. They had an awesome Arcade there and my dad relaxed that rule to let my cousins and I play for an hour each night we were there.

The Just Fun Arcade at Swansea Mall in Swansea Mass. I would hang out there and scalp concert tickets on weekends. They would let me do the transactions in the back room away from prying eyes. I was there so much they asked me to work. It was my first legal job. Man I miss those days.

I used to take my kids there every time we went to NH. Just spent the 4th holiday in North Conway. 5 days in the White Mountains. Think I'm heading back in August before school starts again. Love it there when there's no snow.

There were a few. The closest one was called Fun' Games in Wayne NJ and at lasted over 30 years closing only a few years ago when the mall refused to renew their lease. Other than that it was Time Out in the Livingston Mall (also home to one of the first Heroes World stores..kiid heaven) and Aladdin's Castle I think in the Nanuet Mall. While not quite the 80's an awesome place called Sportsworld opened up in 1990 and was open for 15 years I believe. That placed rocked and I actually still have tokens from there. The town made them close thinking they could get a better tenant for the space.
So a Raymour & Flanagan now resides in that spot. Oh joy.

We had a Space Port at Hunt Valley Mall outside Baltimore. I spent many a days there and had alot of good times. I never knew there was more than one! Sadly that mall is no more.
My favorite ones when I was a kid were the arcades in Ocean City, maryland and Funland in rehoboth Beach, Deleware. Last time i was in Ocean city about 7 years ago the arcades were still there but not even close to the size they were in the early 80's.
About 2 years ago me and my ex were shopping at a mall here in florida. Not only was the mall complety dead I noticed a little arcade there that was completly empty...kind of had an errie feeling. It mad me sad seeing the empty arcade remembering all the fun i had as a kid going to them and relizing that todays and tommorows kids will never know the joys I experienced when I was a kid playing games for hours on end and even making friends playing those games.

SPACE PORT in the Woodbridge Mall ( same mall that had the Heroes World that I shopped at, and worked at)

And Clark Lanes bowling alley. Both of these were in NJ.

Many a quarter was gifted to the arcade gods.

I dont remember the Arcade name. I do remember that it was in the Northgate Shopping center when I lived in Texas. It was fantastic. I remember winning a Galaga contest with two older guys. They let me join them and we won shirts. It was so much fun.
