Hector you have this wrong, Paul the Octopus has two tanks with the flags of the competing nations on, a clam is placed in each of the tanks and the octopus just goes into one of them, it is not a set up.
So far he has been right in every round and you can't argue with that.

Germany vs Uruguay was such a better game than the final...but congrats to la madre patria...España...the best team won.

I feel for the Dutch though...they are still the best team that has never won a WC...that's three finals they have lost now...a heart breaker for them for sure.

I kinda felt bad that Suarez got booed, loudly every time he got the ball. He blew some possible gol opportunities, due to be psyched out, I believe.

Forlan played fabulously.

The Goalkeeper should not have gotten out of bed.

FIFA needs to put some type of goaltending type rule in place but seeing that they won't even embrace any type of technology I doubt it will change.

Every player in the world would have slapped that ball away. It's unfortunate that Ghana went home because of it but anyone would have taken a red card for it.

The Dutch had the opportunities but destiny was on Spain's side.

They were definitely the better of the two teams on the pitch and a well deserved win.

With the next World Cup being another 4 years, it's difficult to say who will win it. I realize Brazil is the host nation but Brazil doesn't have the killer team that they have had in years past.

I would say Germany would be the team to look out for in the next World Cup given their performance in this one and they are young and don't discount England to make a big showing in the 2012 Summer Olympics since they are the host nation.

Just think, they probably get a little rest and then back to their respective Clubs for their upcoming seasons. Training for the Olympics will begin soon and then qualifying for the next World Cup.

I was happy to see that more Americans seemed to watch the World Cup than in past years. I noticed colleagues at work who have zero interest in soccer at least knew that it was taking place and who was playing.

Oh well.....NFL is just around the corner!!!

I've been to Spain in more than one occasion...and I was treated fantastically there.

Nothing more racist than some ignorant and pretentious Mexican fresas...especially to indigenous people.
