Another favorite of mine is Black with red stripes.

I like that combo. Although Silver and black would fit in Raider's country. I also like Toystalker's idea. A blue body with a thin red stripe and the "S" symbol on the hood.

The real question is do you want to have to do all the extra painting to change color. Pewter means redoing the door jams, inside of hood and engine compartment, and trunk. A proper paint change would involve pulling the engine to properly reach all of the engine compartment. Red and whatever stripes you want.

Whatever color you go with, I suggest an offset stripe (single or pair of skinny/wide) in a flat color on the drivers side. The flat color keeps the glare and reflection out of your eyes on bright sunny days when you are hotrodding it up and down the hills.

Ooooooohhh... I like that idea, too. Or maybe sleestak green with yellow stripes. That'd be very 70's as well. Depends on what look you're going for. LOL

This is how serious I am right now about painting the car...my saved money is almost there for the car paint...and the key is to stay away from buying Superman stuff right now.

It was extremely HARD to let this auction go...and it went for a GREAT price...but I had to let it go...
