I liked it, but liked Journeyman (which I'd recorded Monday but didn't watch until last night, after Bionic Woman) better. I'll be watching both!

Yeah, I've got a few deacons who might have something to say about that
I wasn't feeling well...that's really why I skipped. Getting to watch Bionic Woman and Life was the bonus.Comment

Overnite ratings were very good. The show built a 41% improvement from the second half-hour lead-in of Deal or no Deal. NBC must be pleased.
Like I said, I'll give it a few weeks. I usually don't care for pilot eps, which are often filmed long before and independent of the eps we'll now be seeing in the regular season. I know the show has done its share of re-casts and re-shoots after the pilot got picked up, and they started to tailor the first season.Comment

Have you fullfilled your commitment? If so call them and tell them you'll agree to another year if they set you up with the DVR. My friend just updated his service this way. mentioning Dish network may help. One phone call should do the trick.Evildoers tremble at the name... AaronComment

You know, the whole show just kind of happened--like it was just racing to get to the premise. The chemistry between the Doctor/boyfriend and Jaime was nonexistent in the first place. Then she's freaked out at this insane thing they've done to her---but not that much. "What did you put in my brain, you monster?" Fade to them sleeping together. Huh? Wha?This profile is no longer active.Comment

I totally agree.Comment

I'm down with that, but the line where the little girls says "It's just nice to see a woman running that fast" or whatever she said---that was so cheesey my own empowered woman groaned loudly.

I wasn't feeling it. No character development whatsover and boy did it seem like the whole thing was rushed.
It's funny how she was able to fight like a champ with no training. Just because you have the strength doesn't mean you have skills....
Will watch the next few with hope that it gets better.Gamester Of TriskellionComment

I think they spent a few secs explaining that the anthrocytes (or whatever the F they called them) crossed the blood/brain barrier, and that's what "programmed" her to suddenly have great fighting skills, as well as the ability to react fast reflexively, etc.
One stupid thing that I didn't get was the whole truck/car thing. This was an attempt by the Corvus bionic babe to murder the doctor, right? So lemme get this straight.. you're a bionic killing machine that's already slaughtered a bunch of people, and so to kill this guy (instead of, y'know, waiting for him somewhere and snapping his neck), you steal a big rig, get a big ol' head o' steam with it, and perfectly time it so you can T-bone the guy as he's speeding down the road. And you hit the passenger side, even tho he's the driver.
Makes sense.
But hey, I guess if she doesn't do that, we don't get to see one of those kinda cool three years ago side window sudden impact scenes. And we don't get Jamie splattered all over the car.
