Holy cow...I like a great many of the movies listed already in this topic, but honestly the first ones that came to mind for me haven't been mentioned yet and that is....

      **drum roll**

...I do believe both of these gems have been universally panned and are pretty much token film-crap, but I loves thems I do...

I suppose this list doesn't really include 'TV Movies' but the later Gilligan movies are still a treat, especially with the Globetrotters and Landau/Bain.

              Or the 'Dynasty' reunion movie..

She's unrecognizable now though...she's a minister in Fremont, Ca...about 15 miles from me...next to Kaiser Permanente Hospital...I seen her place many times...but never seen her in person.

Here she is now...she goes by her real name, Denise Mathews...wow...

WHY ????????? Why did you have to post that, but cool she is happy. just a bit of a shock to see what she looked like before and then now.

Xanadu is another of my favorites, and I love the look of the pan pacific auditorium that was used. I wish I could have seen that building in person.

Wise4671 - Yeah, I hate A LOT of Oscar movies! But if a movie won Oscars then probably most people think it worked well - so it can't be "crappy" the way I'm trying to define it here.

I guess if I think about it I'm trying to find movies that entertain you, but not in the way it was intended to. So, it's like a horror movie that is accidentally a hilarious comedy.

I think "Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park" is painful and wonderful in just the right way.

david_b - I think "Head" is brilliant! I also liked "Planet Terror" a lot. I think both movies set out to do what they intended to do - if that makes sense? Woof - "Big Top Pee-Wee" was like a nightmare to me! But if you enjoyed it I'll add it!

CrimsonGhost - oh no, I think you were dead on! I was trying to say if the IMDB rating is too high I might not consider it crappy. Though I still think that "Escape from L.A." was kinda made a little crappy on purpose.

Megospidey - I watched Punisher: War Zone with a buddy and we laughed through the whole thing. It was like a 70s made for TV movie on steroids - should I watch the first one? As much as I hated them I can't add the Star Wars movies - they're WAY too loved and popular to be "crappy" in the general sense I think.

I took "Star Trek: The Movie" off the list. HECTOR WINS!!

bizzaro megomauler - NICE! I haven't seen Disco Godfather yet, but Rudy Ray Moore movie gets an automatic pass on this list for sure!

Meule - I can't do it - I can't call an Evil Dead movie crappy, I won't be able to sleep at night!

Orlock - It KILLS me to add "Popeye" - I actually think it's a great and underrated movie, but I understand that most people don't. I can't see the second link!

Yep, I totally agree on 'Head' ~ I've got a Monkees Rarities DVD with like 5 different movie promos (some foreign) for that movie, some including 'blink-and-miss' rare footage they cut out of the final movie. The soundtrack's awesome because it juxtaposes audio snippets to create a slightly different audio experience.

I liked Pee Wee's first movie a lot more, but both are weird, and the question was concerning 'crappy movies'.

And THANKS as well for taking TMP off the list ~

That DVD sounds awesome! I should get a copy of Head on DVD actually - The Porpoise Song is my favorite part. I should listen to the soundtrack again too - I have the record someplace I think!

I think I hated Big Top because it was a real let down from the first one. Maybe I should watch it again now that my expectations aren't too high.

Nope, you're actually RIGHT on 'Big Top'. It IS a big let down, hence the 'crappy' nomination..

I love the live 'Circle Sky', and Peter's 'Do we have to do this all again'..!!
And Frank Zappa lamenting to Davy.., 'The song's pretty White'.

GRAB the Rhino re-released CD from the mid-90s ~ Plenty of excellent extra tracks, to include all the rare radio promo commercials and excellent in-depth liner notes inside. Still love the reason they called it 'Head'... So when the studio did a sequel, they could say: "From the studio that gave you...."

SOOOOOO many choices! Since I can't pick "anything in it's MST3K incarnation" I'll go with:

                                "The Horror of Party Beach."

                                Don C.
