I also had picked The Cove to win Best Documentary...but I didn't post it...had forgotten about it when I started the thread...

The people of the Japanese city where the documentary was filmed, Taiji, are none too happy about that result either. Town officials are protesting the win.

I think Bridges should have easily won for The Fisher King and Fearless, but he wasn't even nominated for those! Anyway - it was about time!

You're probably right about Bea Arthur, that's a good point, but Farrah certainly appeared in more theatrical films than Michael Jackson did, so she at least should have been included. Sure, many of her films were no classics (Saturn 3, Cannonball Run, etc) but they were theatrical films none the less.
