    Naughty Teachers

***May not be safe for work depending on your surroundings. There is no nudity or swearing but the dancing is provocative and Naughty.Don't watch with kids around***

Not sure if any of you saw this or not,but a couple of days ago there was a pep rally at one of the local schools and two teachers got carried away.
It made international news so maybe you have seen it.
What takes place is a lap dance in the middle of the school gym by the two young teachers in front of the kids.

Call me a prude(I'm not ) but I think this is totally inappropriate and they should be dismissed. Many have said it's no big deal and the kids see worse on T.V.?
    Really?
Maybe they do but when I'm at home with my kids I know what they are watching. When I send them to school I expect the teachers to behave in a professional manner.I work for the city and if I did this at work (even with a willing partner) We would both loose our jobs for disrespectful workplace behaviour.

So lets here it from some of the Teachers and Parents on these boards.
    What do you think?
Is this the kind of stuff you want your kids seeing teachers do at school?
And people with no kids is it okay?

      Oh you whacky americans.

This is just nothing, don't turn it into something, it was just a laugh, everyone seems to think it is funny and i'm sure they all then just went back to doing school stuff.

        Yes they are teachers.

This was in Canada not the US.

Some people are laughing however notice right at the end the one kid leans in and states "this is so wrong".
If a kid knows it's wrong that should weigh pretty heavy on the out come.
If it was dancing around the chair hey I got no problem but the simulated strip tease and then head between the knees action, just turned that performance into a sexual act.

take in mind these kids are grade 9-12 so that means some of them are 13,14,15,16,17,18, years old.

I'm just not cool with people who are in positions of trust taking it upon themselves to perform live sex shows in front of 13 year olds.
        Frankly I find it disgusting.
Now if they were at a bar or night club go to town knock yourselves out.If I was at the bar I would laugh myself. But at a school?
        Come on.

That's just wrong, is a popular catch phrase with kids. But the move toward the end, when it looks like he pretends to go down on her, that was def way inappropriate. I think the disciplinary action is enough though.

I'm sure if they had been in the US they would have been fired. Seriously it's inappropriate for teachers to do that around students and parents.......They are educators and authority figures....nice example set.NOT!

They should be fired, plain and simple.

Giving my profession a bad name. Totally inappropriate and stupid.

Ah yes,but what do you think should happen to them?
From a teachers point of view I'm very interested in how other teachers feel they should be treated.
                  Simply discipline or firing?
Currently they are at home with pay until further "investigation".

Well, firing them is probably too harsh unless there is a pattern. But I imagine they would be too ashamed and might quit.
Firing a teacher based on behavior has to be about inflicting more harm, though that is arguable here. Emotional harm is tough to measure

I guess us Europeans have a totally different view on this. To me this was just harmless fun

I'm guessing Canada, United States and Europe have different rules of conduct and punishment for teachers.

Not saying one is better than the other -- just different.

Yes, the US is still very prudish compared to the rest of the world but we are what we are ...

Arguing what should be done is like arguing gun control or the death penalty across country borders.

They should have known better , and been more reserved. Firing them..... I'm not too sure , but something should have been done. The last act depicting the going down part was the line crosser

No need to argue about it just wondering what others think and feel.
Like I said before for me if it was someplace else I have no problem but in a school with kids not cool.

My opinion is if I live in the same city and work for the same city and must adhere to code of conduct behaviour than shouldn't the people who teach our children?
                            Maybe firing is harsh?
But in my work it is grounds for dismissal; And, I work alone...
Now Just imagine that my boss walks in and catches me licking an empty chair seat?
Then again I guess it could be worse I work in a zoo...

I'm not a teacher, but I work in various schools, depending on where my clients are located. I am supposed to uphold the same professional standards as the school staff I'm working with. If I behaved like that at a school function, I would be fired. The start of the dance was in good fun, and just the vague suggestion of a lap dance could have been overlooked. But I do think they crossed a line with the mock sex act.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
