      In no particular order:

      Shrek
      Incredibles
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
      Spider-Man 2
      Kill Bill 1 and 2
      American Splendor
      Training Day
      Iron Man
      Slumdog Millionaire
      Inglorious Basterds

(Boring aside: As an Historian, I reckon the decade from 2001, not 2000....if I back it up a year, I have to include "O Brother Where Art Thou?" and "Gladiator".)

Training Day was real good ....

I sat down the other night and Watched Inglorious Basterds ..., And the constant Sub-Titles took the enjoyment overall of the Movie Away from me somewhat...

I can totally understand that as a criticism of the movie and there are a lot of things in Inglorious Basterds that I think could have been done better.

For me, it boils down to the fact that I had a really good time watching it. I loved like heck that while Hitler was laughing his head off watching a movie portrayal of American Troops being slaughtered by his heroic sniper, I was in on the joke that he was about to have it all shoved up his arse!

And I found a renewed appreciation for Brad Pitt. Pitt is awesome as a bad-***.

            Wow...an entire decade?

I don't even know what or how many movies fall within the last decade's time frame...lol.

I'd have to do a research...and see what I come up with.

Since movie situations like that one depend on the suspense created by
"will he" or "won't he" "have it all shoved" I can't imagine that was the
intended humor of that moment...still it was a great moment in one of the
greatest movies ever made...and certainly one of the best of the decade.

I have four of your five flicks on my top dozen list...except for Iron-Man...I HATED the clunker and lame final fight...that's why it doesn't make my top 12 list.

Here's my own list in no particular order...
And not limited to Top "Ten"...

There are movies I know I'm forgetting that I liked a lot and there are movies
like SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, INTOLERABLE CRUELTY, etc. that I intend to see
but that's my list for now.

I assume I'm forgetting tons of stuff! These are in no particular order, I don't even put these all on equal footing, but in their own genres these ones really stood out to me:

                              The Royal Tenenbaums
                              Amalie
                              Gozu
                              Forgetting Sarah Marshall
                              Napoleon Dynamite
                              In Bruges
                              The Incredibles
                              JCVD
                              Kill Bill (vol. 1&2)
                              Kung Fu Hustle
                              Mulholland Dr.
                              No Country for Old Men
                              Sideways
                              Ong-Bak
                              There Will Be Blood
                              The Pianist
                              Crank
                              Requiem for a Dream
                              Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
                              All or Nothing
                              Team America: World Police

                              Docs:
                              Capturing the Friedmans
                              Lost In La Mancha
                              Helvetica
                              The King of Kong
                              Startup.com
                              The Devil and Daniel Johnston

Actually this was a pretty interesting exercise - for one thing it made me realize how fantastic the 90s were. I kept having to drop movies after I double checked their date.

Who would have thought 10 years ago that the Coen Brothers would make 3 masterpieces and their 3 worst films in the same decade?

And one of my favorite film makers, Terry Gilliam only directed 2 movies and they both stunk! Though I did include the brilliant doc about his failed Don Quote movie.

Oh - you guys reminded me about these:
                              Ghost World
                              Adaptation
                              American Splendor
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Scorsese was pretty actually pretty consistent this decade. I really liked Departed and Aviator, most of Gangs of New York was fantastic, but some of it was terrible.

I didn't really like anything Spielberg did except for Catch Me If You Can.
