To me.., it was the first time that I felt time actually, standing STILL..!?!

Most likely a lot what it was like for JFK, Bobby and Martin back in the 60s.

My stepdad and I were always like Red and Eric in the '70s Show', but he wrote me a very nice note the next morning telling me what happened. I remember going to school a bit lost that next day (High School Senior back then and HUGE Beatle Fan, still am..).

Loved all the Beatle specials that were in syndication, FINALLY seeing some cool vintage video for the first time, like videos for 'We Can Work It Out' and others you normally didn't see unless you went to conventions or something.., LONG before the Internet.

I went out and bought a few albums and cassette tapes, but was more a Harrison'/McCartney fan then, still am.

Everyone in my class knew I was like the Number #1 Fab fan, so the yearbook folks put in a quote from me about his passing.., something like "He was a great peacemaker, He should be remembered as one".

It was terrible losing George a few years back as well, tragic in a different way of course.

PS: Now back in Kuwait ~ Jeez, it's like I never left this place 18 months ago.. Now saving up for my $$$ MIB Mego purchases.
      Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

We have to meet sometime. We don't live that far apart. Have a Wisconsin Mego meet or something. You have a lot of my same interests.
Cool to have somebody on here from Wisconsin.

The thing with George. It wasn't as horrible as John. Like you said, "different ways of course". Lennon was gunned down in cold blood and most people that were fans of George Harrison and following his career, knew he was sick.
I just didn't think he was on death's door step until I heard he was dead.

Then I was like, yeah...he had cancer. Sad and I mourned for about a week playing all of his solo albums.
