The funny part for me was hearing his wife allegedly used a nine iron to smash out the windows of his utility vehicle to "free" him. YEAH... free him from what? The areas of his body the tree didn't get? Now what he had to do legally, as far as explaining himself, isn't nearly important to me as the manner in which he postured himself after the event. Sure he doesn't have to say anything. But when you tell the authorities your going to explain this event then recant with an attorney at the front gate well... Let's just say he is a public figure and while he doesn't have to reveal anything legally, the public will decide for itself what it does mean for them. And if it doesn't pan out in his favor, then he will just have to live with his "privacy" and accept the public verdict. I'm a big believer the truth always lies somewhere between either side of a perspective. I'm sure whatever really happened will not likely turn out to be as bad as what people will perceive it to be NOW. He should have given a reason and accepted whatever minor degree of embarrassment came with it. His silence has generated so much curiosity, that the media is trying to dig up anything on his wife. His silence has done his family a complete disservice. He is right about one thing. This IS his fault...in more ways than one. The bloom is off the rose.
