Watched "Boy Kills World" and it is a hoot! Great visuals and cast, funny and fast-paced. Kinda gory, but that's kind of why I came. Best of all, it wasn't based on anything.

Boy Kills World - Watch the trailer now! In Theaters April 26. Starring Jessica Rothe, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Nicholas Crovetti, Cameron...

Finally got a DVD of Disney's Condorman. Non-Anamorphic Pal release. This movie should not be this hard to find. A Blu-ray release is also long overdue. Anyhoo, haven't seen it since I was a kid. I still liked it. A silly fun mix of superhero and spy movies with some really well-done vehicle chase scenes. Condorman should be in the MCU. I totally would watch that.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

          I should rewatch that.

I grew up on "Some Mothers do Have 'em" as a kid and I was excited about the film. I got the comics but never saw it until I was 14. I remember my grandfather thinking it was hilarious!

SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE... (1971)

            omg.

This was on TCM one night, I taped it and I finally watched it. Wow. Some of the talent in this are.

            Fannie Flagg

            Rue McClanahan

Candy Darling (of Warhol/Velvet Underground fame)

            Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers!)

            Gary Sandy (WKRP)

Here is the synopsis: "On Christmas Eve 1971, in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, a group of gay men and lesbians meet at the mob-owned Blue Jay Bar to talk about their lives and relationships."

Well, to me it seemed like CHEERS for the LGBT community. But, with more foul language and more ADULT themes! There is a scene with Rue McClanahan and Gary Sandy and it is INSANE! They are just calling each other the most nastiest names and it is surreal!

One of the opening scenes is Gary Sandy HUSTLING on a street corner in a trench coat and it just blows my mind!!

Gil Gerard in one scene is talking with a french accent and then in his normal voice in another scene!! Again it is surreal as this is Buck Rogers!

I am guessing this is work that they needed to do in the early stages of their careers.

Rue McClanahan is actually very, very attractive. She plays a somewhat disturbed hooker and she is not sure what she wants or WHO she wants.

What is very funny is TCM Host; DAVE KARGER trying to keep a straight face as he is giving us the synopsis on this film at the opening and explaining that this film popped up a year after the Stonewall Riots!

Why did Robert Osbourne have to die?????

Fannie Flagg is an ICON. I love her, ever since I have watched her on MATCH GAME and on the NEW DICK VAN DYKE (70's) Show and all her books!!! I think she is brilliant!

is this film Rough? Yes. Is this film out of date? Yes. Is this film not PC? Yes.

I would love to talk to Gary Sandy about this and see what his recollections are, I bet I would be even more surprised.

Candy Darling has a very memorable scene with Gary and it is the highlight of the film. I am debating on getting this on dvd for the library. If you get a chance check it out.

            Thanks TCM, I guess.

Took the family to watch Dreamworks The Wild Robot:

If you are looking for a movie to take your family to see this weekend, this is the one. A clean family friendly movie that will take you on an emotional roller-coaster but ends on a high note. BF & I took the Parents to watch it just to get them out of the house and do something. Even took them them to Pizza Hut before hand to yeah dinner and a movie.

Boyfriend & I went and watch The Shining at the theater, the 144 min version.

First off, the first time I watched this movie was back in the 80's when my first BF and I rented the VHS version at a local video store. We made out during the first 2/3 of the movie but the last part I remember.

Maybe it's me buy watching this at the theater I remember why we made out for the majority of the movie; this is slow & boring till the last third of the movie and the made little sense. The best parts are those clips you see on tiktok/YouTube.

Boyfriend & I took parents to watch Gladiator II. Surprised it goes by rather quick for a close to 3 hour movie. Yes for the historians out there you have to suspend beliefs, but it is a popcorn movie where you just forget about the world outside and enjoy the movie.

After his home is conquered by the tyrannical emperors who now lead Rome, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum and must look to his past to find strength to return the glory of Rome to its people.

Bonus I was able to get this great popcorn bucket

Took family to watch Moana 2. It was good but you could tell it was meant to be a TV series, it was obvious were each episode was to be cut. Still a fun movie and the little one enjoyed it.
