I would recommend it, not because it's "Really Scary" but because of Dastmalchian's performance. As the posessed girl, Ingrid Torelli makes you uncomfortable for much of the film.

However it doesn't take itself too seriously and a couple of the actors are a bit hammy and stagey, which I think is intentional.

I won't spoil the ending but it's worthy of discussion.
You are so right about the possessed kid. She is so creepy. I thought it was a pretty solid effort with plenty of nods to the 1970's.

Boyfriend & I watched Netflix Atlas with Jennifer Lopez, Simu Lui and Sterling Brown:
      atlas.webp
A data analyst must put her trust in AI after a mission to capture a renegade robot goes awry.

Atlas was an enjoyable movie. We would have seen this in the theater because it had Simu Liu! This movie reminds me of those Sy-Fy Channel series that were filmed using lots of green-screen. They made it cheaper and easier to film sci-fi series while still looking good.

It you get the chance sit back with you loved one or group of friends and enjoy this Sci-Fi adventure movie.

For our Memorial Day movie we decided to rewatch The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

The British military recruits a small group of highly skilled soldiers to strike against German forces behind enemy lines during World War II.

This morning boyfriend and and I took the nephew'to see Garfield the movie:

"Garfield reunites with his long-lost father, a street cat who draws him into a high-stakes heist."

It was a cute movie. The kids in the theater laughed throughout the movie. This was a cute family movie so go and enjoy it at the theater.

The bonus was it was breakfast & movie, so for 10 extra we got 3 chocolate chip pancakes a big scoop of scrambled eggs and several strips of bacon.

Boyfriend and I just finished watching Japan Horror/Mystery movie Lumberjack the Monster:
            Lumberjack the Monster.jpg
A bizarre, but bloody serial murder case takes place. The murders seem to be influenced by the picture book "Kaibutsu no Kikor." The serial killer wears the mask of the "Lumberjack Monster" and attacks his victims' with an ax to take their brains. The serial killer's next target becomes the lawyer Ninomiya Akira. The lawyer is unusual in that he lacks empathy for others. He is also a cold-blooded and heartless person and carries the traits of a psychopath.

Other people become involved in the case including profiler Toshiro Ranko, Ninomiya Akira’s fiancée Hasumi Emi, Dr. Sugitani Kuro and past murder case suspect Kenmochi Takeshi. The case needs to be solved like a puzzle, including finding out why the serial killer takes the victim's brain and why the next target was chosen. Ninomiya Akira must work to solve this puzzle to save his own life.

Besides the non-realistic blood spray the movie itself was good. I sorta reminded me of Dexter. This was worth watching on Netfliz even it you have to read the subtitles.

Boyfriend and I just finished watching: Netflix Under Paris
                Under-Paris02.jpg

Summer 2024. Paris is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming deep in the river. To avoid a bloodbath at the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the Seine river police commander.

This was the dubbed voices so you do not have to read the movie. What can I say, its man vs shark but in Paris. Cuddle up with your loved one and just forgot the day and watch silly people get eaten by sharks.

This afternoon Boyfriend & I went to watch The Watchers at 3:30pm but got stuck waiting for the train to pass. So, we so Bad Boys Ride Or Die at 4pm and had dinner and after that watched The Watchers.
                  bad boys.jpg movie buger.jpg the watchers.jpg

Bad Boys was your typical summer popcorn movie. You know in the end Will & Martin and going to win, so you just sit back and enjoy the explosive ride of a movie.

Since The Watchers is by M. Night Shyamala movie you need your thinking cap on. His movies NEVER go the way you would think, so be prepared for that twist towards the end. We enjoyed both movies but I would go back and rewatch The Watchers again.

I enjoyed this. It's obviously trash, but it's fun trash. It delivered exactly what I wanted, which was a little suspense followed by silly people getting eaten by sharks.

I watchet Hit Man on NFLX last night. It's fine. It's generally fun, but a little predictable. I'll give it a B/B+. I just expected to like it a little more, as I did Accident Man, Miss Meadows, and Mr. Right.

This morning boyfriend & I took nephew to the movies for free flashback kids movie: Shrek (2001).
                        th (15).jpg
To be truthful I do not remember if I saw this at the theater or when it came out for sale first. What made this fun was sitting in a packed out theater listing to kids laughing throughout the movie.

Now what made feel old, boyfriend had to say "well I didn't see this at the theater because I was born in 2000".

Took the whole family to the theater to watch Disney/Pixar Inside out 2 and got nephew the kids meal that matched. Before we went, we watched Inside Our 1 and the mini cartoon Inside Out: Riley's First Date. The movie was fun but just seemed better with a room full of kids laughing throughout the movie. So go and watch this at the theater first.

Tuesday free movie at the theater: Despicable Me I. Boyfriend & I took nephew to watch it even though he said he didn't like the movie. Funny thing was he was laughing all through the movie and asked of we can see the 4th movie next week.

                              To Be Takei (2014)

This was on PBS last week and I finally watched it today. Sadly this was an EDITED Hour long version. But it was very informative and entertaining. It opens with George and his husband: Brad going for their morning walk. In the next hour we hear George talk about his childhood, growing up, His first "Experience", his marriage to Brad. some of his work experiences in TV and film. Rohwer Arkansas: WOAH! This was a rough part of the film and George talks about Hurting his dad years later in regards to the internment experience.

They show interviews with the old Star Trek cast: Nichelle, Walter, Leonard, Shatner, No Doohan! Shatner is a prick. His homophobia is so apparent.

George's partner is pretty pleasant for the most part, except...

When it comes to money! We see the two at EMERALD CITY Comic con, and Brad is collecting $Ca$H$ AND HERDING PEOPLE like cattle!!! In and out, in and out. ***????

ALLEGENCE; a play based on George's Internment experiences is also talked about and we see a clip with George and it is very emotional.

                              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegiance_(musical)

Apparently the film was 80 minutes long with an extra 80 minutes of more interviews. SO I need to go out and get a full copy!!!

Man I started this and forgot about updating it:

                                90's Little Rascals
                                th (44) (4).jpg

I haven't seen this movie since it came out. My nephew laughed all the way through it.
