werewolf maybe this post will cheer you up.

the next issue of spiderman is going to go alittle something like this

Peter: "Hey MJ, I really have strong feelings for you. Some might even call it love... So I'd like to take our relationship to the next level."

MJ: "Oh Tiger, do you really mean it?"

Peter: "Yes. Will you take this promise ring to abstain until marriage?"

MJ: "I thought you'd never ask."

[Next Panel just after the proposal]

    *Knock, Knock*

    Peter: "Who is it?"

King Pin: "It's Wilson Fisk, the King Pin. I hereby renounce my life of crime, and accept full responsibility for my actions. Plus I'm giving all my money to charity."

I've never been into the darker Marvel stuff anyway. I like it just like it was in the 70's. I don't see a negative really, as long as we don't see Marvel Team-up Spiderman and Goofy on the shelves!

I'm just teasing you. I just thought it was a bit silly to see an adult post a "hater" pic.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I would not be surprised to find out Disney has plans for a Marvel Universe theme park in Orlando. Disney has the land for something like 5 or 6 more full parks there alongside Animal Kingdom & Hollywood Studios. And by allowing the character contracts to remain active at Universal park, they keep the characters out there while the new park gets built, all the while collecting fees for usage from the competition. Then, they get to yank them away and start on their own.
I wouldn't expect Marvel to get all light & cartoony...as somebody said, there are more than a few Disney properties out there that are pg or even r. Pirates of the Carribean, while not bloody & gory, certainly had a more mature theme, the ghost pirates were suitably nasty looking. And Disney incorporated all of that into the park ride.

What I would expect to see is more planning on the part of Marvel Comics, less jumping into things half-cocked. Certainly stuff like Spider-Man making the deal with Mephisto comes to mind. And a return to shepherding your flock as it were, such as creating a guidline for Spidey or Wolverine and following it through. One thing Disney is good at is maintaining quality control over how their characters get used. So we may well see an end to Marvel Zombies & the like.

I love Disney. I Love Marvel. Why does purchase bother me? I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Don't give em any ideas. Marvel already made Icemen a teen in the xmen films

I talked to my brother earlier about Disney buying Marvel. He said he heard since Marvel comics don't generate enough profit for the brand, they don't want to focus on making new comics. They would rather reprint old issues again and concentrate on Marvel films. That wouldn't shock me.
