    >replace the names and images with homemade generic superheros

Although the actual generic superhero IS a Marvel property. Say; does that mean marvel holds the rights to "generic superhero?"

    Weird.

Wouldn't it be a riot if Disney bought DC as well.

I think it should be known that Disney subsidiaries released such films as "No Country for Old Men", "There Will Be Blood", "The Crow", "Pulp Fiction",Trainsporting, Reservoir Dogs and other violent movies.

Yes, but they don't have Mickey and Donald in them do they? They don't sell rapist Donald and cannible Mickey to adults and baby Mickey and baby Donald to kids. That's the difference and the point I was making.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It will be interesting to see what Disney does with Marvel Zombies and the like. They are really strict about separating adult and family-friendly material. If they deem Marvel as more of an all-ages brand, then you could see them backing off of things like this. That wouldn't bother me in the least.

              Found this interesting.....

Comments from Disney leaked to the CNBC and Fox Business Networks:

              1. The characters will be downgraded to at least a PG-13 approach as far as content and presentation both in movies and comics.

2.The existing movie deals will probably see deals cut in order to bring the movie franchises in house as soon as possible.

3.The theme park contracts are expected to be allowed to run their course.
So perhaps we won't have to deal with the Marvel Zombies and the like anymore.....?????

I'm sure a lot of fans will be honked off about this, but as a parent, I'm glad to see it, if it comes to pass. Try explaining to your 5 year-old why Spider-Man and Mary Jane are rotting with holes in them while waiting in line at a comic shop. It sucks.

i'm just trying to say marvel will still have adult comics and movies (like the punisher). characters like spiderman might get watered down alittle.

Count me in with the prudes. PG-13 sounds about right for Marvel historically, and all of their mainstream super hero flicks have fallen under this rating, so it's not like it would be neutering the characters. In the last several years, the comics have thrown good taste and appropriate behavior out the window on several occasions.

Hater? Really, hater? Is that the best internet cliche you could come up with? Hater, seriously, gotta shake my head over that. That might have been maybe considered cool for teenagers in the 90s but even by net speak that's gotten old and tired.

What's next? Somebody going to write pwned? I mean come on people.

Not mad at all. Just found it kinda odd and maybe a little darkly humorous to see the cliched and juvenile "hater" come from a fellow Mego poster. It's the kind of stereotypical thing you'd expect teenagers to post when they can't effectively argue their point. The shrill net screams of "hater" are then often followed up by the inevitable "thread war" one up man ship of "funny" and "edgy" pictures and captions.

Lightweight Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Disney make a good couple....both pansies.
