Say what you will about his crazy antics and problems in his personal life but Mike Tyson in his prime was a dynamo that could not be stopped! A force that could not be stopped!!

I think the only thing that stoped Mike was Mike himself.....

I'd like to think he's rooting for them from his own skybox seats...

Wow! Bonecrusher Smith huh? What a choice! Thats awesome! He was a humble tough dude! Seemed like a down to earth cool guy. Bonecrusher had a great chin and a devastating right hand! I just wish he would have tried to actually fight Tyson instead on holding all night, when he finally opened up in the 12th and final round he staggered Mike with a big right, but it was too late in the fight to follow up. The Ruddock KO was more that Bonecrusher was so tired and old! But he was hit solid and yes scary. I feel a Prime Bonecrusher would have beat Ruddock.

And I have to agree with another post that Tyson was past his prime when he lost to Holyfield. And now i give Douglas all the credit for a great fight, yet Tyson didnt train for that fight, he fired Kevin Rooney before that fight and he figured he would KO buster early. Tyson stopped training hardcore once he dumped Rooney.

My Favorite would be Larry Holmes, I met him once, very cool easy going dude.

                Mike Weaver x2
                Jose Ribalta
                Frank Bruno
                Tim Witherspoon

BTW there was one extremely scary moment when I saw my boy bonecrusher get brutally knocked out by Razor Ruddock. Freakin scary.

Detroit Tiger SS Alan Trammell (76-97). Tram played hard, was never a showman. Just went out and gave it his all every day he played. A total class act.

That's sad. I had family members too who waited their whole lives and never saw the day either.

I am sure he'll make it before his eligibilty is over. After all Jim Rice finally made it. Not to Derail the topic further If Clemens ever gets in then Trammell is a lock, and I am demanding they make all those whose eligibility has expired start again. Also for Pete's sake put Pete Rose in already. I am starting to feel bad for the guy.

I don't buy that for one bit.

First of all...Holyfield is three years older than Tyson. The one who was in a lot more wars...and much more ring-worn...was Holyfield...not Tyson. Everybody keeps forgetting Tyson was the big betting favorite.

Second...Tyson was in never any wars prior to that fight except for Buster Douglass.

                                Who was Tyson's toughest opponent?

Perhaps Ruddock or Douglass...but that's it...until Lennox Lewis slaughtered him.

I also won't except excuses like Tyson stopped training hardcore...part of being a true great is to be ready at all times...since he supposedly wasn't...then Tyson does NOT deserve to be a top twenty heavyweight champion...let alone a top ten.

No excuses...Hoyfield "The Real Deal" Holyfield...whipped his arse good...fair and square.
