ANYWAYS, I read all the stuff in this thread since my last post.
All fine enough ideas.
Someone just tell WB to get cracking already.
SUPERMAN's legacy is too good for this bull.Leave a comment:

That's exactly the role I was thinking of!Leave a comment:

^^^ He'd work fine, Definitely has the voice. As for Brainiac, paint Patrick Stewart green and you are all set. He basically did it already as Locutis.

Here's a thought: Any reason why Clancy Brown couldn't be Luthor on the Big Screen?Leave a comment:

I'd use him (Luthor) as the government's answer to some threat (i.e. Brainiac for example), but of course, he ultimately has his own plans..
I agree he's been overused in the past but NEVER as a scientist and genius (real estate scheme... come on!) He'd be the secondary threat in the film (appearing only in the second half), perhaps even aiding Supes while plotting his destruction (2nd film). That might compensate for the overuse and fix the "saw that" phenomena.
Perhaps...Leave a comment:

I really think Luthor needs to be skipped for at least two movies. He's actually the one holdover from Smallville I'd like to see reused eventually tho. The guy on Smallville was a great Lex. They could do a cameo of him in prison in one of the first two movies then have him breakout at the end of the second to set him up as the baddy for 3.Leave a comment:

just find someone that comes close to Alex Ross's version and you've got it.

I liked almost everything about SUPERMAN RETURNS, including Routh's performance.
Ironically, one of the things I liked best about SR was the thing that I still
would've probably left out myself...the "super son" thing.
The reason why I liked it is because I thought it was a thouroughly
original and apt part of being the "sequel" to II.
However, DEALING WITH IT in the sequel to SR, etc. is just TOO much
to handle in a SUPERMAN MOVIE.
Ahhh---SR----was just too ambitious for it's own good.
The only things I really disliked about it were
Bosworth's Lois and the repitition of the drawn out blackout scenes.
It did $200 million domestically...not bad...but I guess they were expecting Spider-Man numbers.Leave a comment:

How about Grundy and tie it in to a Green Lantern or Bats movie.
DC movies are all stand-alone. Marvel kicks the crap out of them movie-wise and they aren't afraid of a tie in and DC animation rules with all kinds of crossovers.Leave a comment:
