They've had that policy with premiums fro awhile. You should be able to purchase the kids meal toys in the same manner. I think they used to charge $1 for the toys.

Ok gang, I am finally back after running the thrift store circuit today. I stopped in at Murder King and picked up all four of the glasses as well. A food purchase was not necessary which is cool. I was already there and getting hungry so needless to say they won again. The glasses were 1.99 each just as some have already mentioned. And yes they are real glass which is a big plus to me. I also like the boxes that they come packaged in. The glasses are OK. I had higher expectations on the looks of them. I was really wanting them to look like the older versions, but ohh well. I picked up two different toys while there and took a whole butt load of pictures for everyone here to see. I will post more pictures later (gf is calling me right now). For now enjoy the shots of the glasses that I took when I got home. More cooler pictures will be on the way later this evening so stay tuned.

New Trek Glasses

I have a bit of bad news regarding the new bk trek glasses.
It seems here in NYC bk has become greedy and wants to milk us fellow trekers and collectors. they will not sell the glasses by themselves a value meal must be purchased and then one can buy the glass. (They claim,is through out the chain) sad when in past one could just walk in and buy a glass without having to buy one of their greasy fating unhealthy foods. What has been some of your expirences??

Get this crap. As a glass collector I figured I'd pick up a set of these. Called my local BK and asked if they had a set and was told yes, the set sells for $6. So I went there and was told that they were $1.99 with the purchase of a value meal and if I wanted all four then I'd have to purchase 4 value meals but if I did that then I could have the set of $6. Needless to say I walked out.
