Picked up all four Monday nite for the $6.99 set price, no problem at all. The manager woman said demand for them had been brisk and they would likely be all gone by Tuesday (today), as she hadn't ordered that many. She said the order had to be put in a YEAR ago, and who knew anyone would give a crap about Star Trek?

I also have a feeling that Kirk will be the most likely to be found easily. I actually kind of figured that when I seen the action figures. I just cannot see the Kirk being that highly sought after. Who knows though in the end he may just be the one that everyone will be paying big $$$ for later. I seriously hope not!

I find it hard to believe that they would only order such a small amount with the HUGE demand that there will be for them. What rock has she been sleeping under?

I stopped by my local BK this morning thinking that I could purchase the glasses and walk out.

They were $2.99 a piece or all 4 for $9.99. I then asked if I could just purchase the glasses and I was told no, I had to buy a value meal. I decided to just buy it rather than try to find another BK. I'll just give the value meal to my kids if they want it or throw it away. At least I was able to get all 4 in one shot.

Geez! Why couldn't they have pushed the other Trek movies this hard? All they had from Generations were those big Tumblers (my mom accidentally broke one), and Blockbuster has some stuff from First Contact, (I picked up a hat). It really frosts me that this "Fake Trek" (yes, I said it!) is getting all this attention in the movies, and all we ever got from the other movies were glasses and tumblers.

I believe that it is mostly due to marketing's fault. They do things like this to starve fans out so that they will go nuts when something finally is released.

"Fake Trek" - I love your quote. I feel the same way. It just isn't going to be the same without the original crew. I am a TOS Star Trek fan. All the other stuff is OK, but not really my cup of tea. There is no beating the original IMO. The real deal.

Guess I'll have to make one of my rare trips to BK an see what's up. I wonder if the supplies at aeach store have anything to do with how they are being doled out.
I can see stores with a more limited supply wanting a purchase involved to so they can keep it going longer rather than having to deal with all the compliants when they run out.

They're only $1.99 with the purchase of a value meal. Why did they charge you $2.50 each? Kid that works for me brought me Kirk when he went to lunch today. 3 to go.

Guys...DON"T GET SCAMMED by BK employees!
The glasses are $1.99 each(the add says it)some BK's even sell them for $6.99 a set.Some BK's wont sell them without a food purchase...some will.Some sell the toys for a dollar...some wont(with or without a food purchase)

I will go back and check but I do know that the poster at my BK said $2.99 per glass or $9.99 per 4 with purchase of value meal.

I wonder if franchises have some leeway as to how they set their prices.

I had the misfortune of showing up at BK this past weekend and getting nothing but sponge bob stuff.

I'm actually more excited than I should be about these, it's really harkening back to the first motion picture happy meal promo for me.

I still have those BK ST-TMP paper mats somewhere..

Those ships and instruments do look pretty cool.

I just went to the one by my house. The sign said $1.99 each with a purchase of a value meal, but the person behind the counter said I didn't have to get food. It ended up around $7.50 (with tax) for all four. They said I got the last Nero and they weren't getting any more. Glad I stopped in when I did.
