Bummer, the light went out at Crispy Kreme. It closed down, another loss to the economy I guess. That just leaves Dunkin Donuts here in town and a Tim Horton's close by.The grocery store ones are never anything that great. We always loved going to Crispy Kreme when they were making them fresh, they just melted in your mouth. Not to mention you got a free one when the light was on.

The best donuts I've ever had are at Rolling Pin in San Bruno, CA...I used to go there all the time because I worked near that area.
But I no longer work in that side of the Bay...I miss them...they make Krispy Kream taste like poop...everything at Rolling Pin are delicious...

The regular cake ones aren't that great.Love maple long johns and glazed only if they are fresh and squishy.Apple fritters if they got real apples in them.I never get the custard ,but my wife does and I usually steal a bite.I agree with you on the bear claws, way to doughy for me.Comment
